Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on July 17, 2023July 17, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 4 No. 6 Laughing Fun She doesn’t win many but there are some average customers contesting this and don’t be surprised if she finds herself in a frame spot at odds. She has actually raced much better dogs recently that stands her in good stead here and a good first turn position would give her some chance EW. Race 5 No. 5 Momentous Went super 2nd look here last week and looks ready now for the break through. Took solid ground off Snoods Crumbs and he can show good speed as well off the mat. Another 1/10th off the clock and he’s there at the end here. Capable and will show something solid if he gets a clean first turn. Race 7 No. 8 Apollo Fun and No. 1 Entry Level Old mate in 8 will never ever get it easier until he reaches Masters company. This is a rock bottom grade 6Y and he really should just roll down the outside and take over for a win. His best will do that but he’s not been at his best. This is his chance to get it back. The 1 will again probe for fence runs and he was a little unlucky last week when striking trouble after a good step for him. Seems to go ok here and will present with momentum as soon as he gets clear air. Race 8 No. 8 Little Honda She was very good the other day. Pushed back to last early but weaved her way through the field to sustain a strong run home to only just miss on the line. Time was steady but they won’t go much quicker here if at all so she’s right in this. Top 2 player here. Race 9 No. 3 Kingsbrae Huxley Our man Huxley went above and beyond last start in much harder company to run 3rd. Has been racing some handy types lately and gets his easiest assignment in a while. Musters up well and runs his 17.6 or even better on a good track which will go close here. Can win with a clean step and trouble free first section. Race 11 No. 1 Jimali and No. 7 Kinjarling The 1 had this box last time when he comfortably put the 7 away with a most the way win but in fair time. He will again get a nice run early and present with a strong middle and last section to be hard to hold out again. Expect the 7 to land closer here with his best step. He just gave away too much start last time but he can show speed and is more than capable of turning the tables. Don’t dismiss him this time at the big price. Race 12 No. 5 Burner Flash While he doesn’t win many and the box is sticky, he is one of few who probably doesn’t need the lead or bust. He will want to settle close however as there is no room for error over this trip. Placed all 3 goes track and trip with a win as well and can give these plenty to think about with any luck.
