Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 4, 2023August 4, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 3 My Dad’s Augie and No. 5 Tuta Romeo The 3 can go well here off a freshen and has some class. Short trip not perfect but she can step. The 5 gets a plummet in grade here and his early speed puts him right in this. If he crosses its over and he can cross. Race 3 No. 5 Halcyon Days and No. 4 Notorious Harada The 5 is drawn to get a super map here if he steps his best. Track the 4 over early and has a good middle section up the back. This is a good chance for him to bounce back. He will have to mow the 4 down who should find the top here. She’s not easy to catch either so will be worth the save at least. Race 4 No. 3 Danny Heffernan Racing better than it looks and only needs an ounce of early luck here. Sustains a strong run home and if he close at the top then they will struggle to hold him. Some chance he even finds the arm and that would be good and bye. Race 5 No. 5 Cool Myra Start critical here but it is for all of these. Coming out of some very strong races and she is usually reliable at box rise with the middle draw perfect. Only needs the arm here and she will take no amount of stopping. Great show. Race 6 No. 1 Jimmy’s Decision and No. 2 Granite Song First heat of the National Sprint. The regular customers go around here and these two are big shows. The 1 likes to get wide but he can handle an inside draw. If he can hold up he will be in the finish. EW go. As is the warrior in 2 who wouldn’t know what a bad race meant. Is the very definition of never laying down and if these want to give him a look at any stage, it will be their biggest mistake. Will keep coming. Race 7 No. 4 West On Boonie and No. 8 Saige Tenniele Heat 2 of the sprint and some younger guns go around here. The 6 is way under the odds and can’t be entertained. The 7 is poorly drawn and these young fast dogs won’t need to be given 2nd chances which this bloke can tend to give in the run. The 4 is an outstanding young dog and he will give this a shake. Done everything right so far and will get the room he needs to operate. The 8 is fast. She can take a bit to wind up and the pink isn’t her best draw but she gets a nice run over here and can’t be ignored if she drops her best middle section. EW show. Race 8 No. 3 Launch Control and No. 7 Wild Ollie Playing this on two versions. The 3 will be pretty much the only dog not interested in the early speed battle. He smokes the pipe on the fence and waits. Strong home and descends late. In contrast, the 7 could slingshot around here. He steps well off the outside draws and has early toe. There is a chance he finds the arm here and will be hard to catch if he does at big odds. Race 9 No. 8 Kingshott He’s racing alright this dog. Won the Dale cup at Northam and is going well over this trip. Handles the 8 fine and there aren’t many strong 500 dogs in this so he will keep coming late. EW play for him and he can win. Race 11 No. 3 Sozin’s Azzuri and No. 8 Ice King The 3 gets his chance here. Early speed and wide runner outside should see him find the arm and he’s awfully hard to catch when does. Gets a nice grade drop as well. Don’t be surprised if the 8 spears over here and crosses the lot of them. Racing superbly and at double figures, he is worth a spec he comes out running in this. Loves a wide box too. EW go. Market Market
