Chris’ Eagle Farm Preview Posted on September 16, 2016September 19, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 3 No. 4 Monster Of Energy Brian Smith trained galloper who has shown a real liking for the new surface here having registered 2 wins and as many placings at only the 4 tries and note all have been over this 1400m trip. Meets an interesting rival in Monsieur Gustave who has been flying this prep however he is yet to see anything other than Good tracks (tomorrow will be worst side of soft). Only rises a half kilo on the last start dominant win and no reason he can’t prove victorious once again. RACE 4 No. 8 Morning Fog Mare from the Liam Birchley stable who won two straight at Doomben and the Gold Coast before drawing a wide gate and just missing the start slightly last time out before finding the line strongly behind the in-form Prompt Return. There’s speed a plenty in this race which should suit as Bridget Grylls can park this mare just off the pace and come with a late rush. Note her wet track record is very good. RACE 10 No.2 Brazen Moss Not raced for 5 weeks however I highly doubt that will stop this one from going very close tomorrow. Beat all bar the flying Mr Epic here at that last run however has kept his fitness levels up to speed with a solid hit out in that fast run unofficial trial won by Buffering at Doomben recently. He just looks better than these and will have no problems handling the Soft ground.
