Chris Nelson’s Doomben Preview Posted on July 22, 2016July 25, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 1 No. 13 Persistent Shadow Gympie based filly who steps up to the mile tomorrow (as they all do) and looks well placed. She’s finished her last couple of races off strongly here and Eagle Farm over shorter trips and if not for missing the start slightly last time would have definitely finished closer. With a cleaner getaway tomorrow she’ll get her chance to break through. RACE 4 No. 5 Upstart Pride Front running galloper who looks to have found the right race tomorrow. Last time out here he just had to work a little too much early on to find the front and was collared right near the line. He should have no such issues leading tomorrow and drops a kilo in weight as well as almost 100m in distance. That should be enough to see him home. RACE 8 No. 4 Dylan’s Luck Toowoomba trained galloper from the in form Lindsay Hatch yard who put in a terrific performance here last start racing wide all the way yet finishing the race off strongly behind surprise winner Frequendly. This is a very open affair however he is nothing but consistent and with the services of Damian Browne represents good each-way value.
