Chris’ Doomben Best Bets Posted on May 12, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 1 No. 6 Tumbler Completely unsuited in the Group 2 Victory Stakes at Eagle Farm a fortnight back. The very soft track coupled with the tempo of the race which played to those on the pace (leader won) both worked against her suggesting the run should be totally forgotten. She was a big winner first up & had won 6 of her only 7 starts prior. She can bounce back hard! RACE 2 No. 2 Privlaka Consistent galloper who looks to have found the right race tomorrow. Performed well all 3 starts this campaign with a win & two placings to his credit. Although drawn a wide gate tomorrow there doesn’t appear to be great deal of speed in the race which should enable Damian Browne to slot him over somewhere near the fence with cover. Slightly longer trip and the Soft track are both big plusses. SuperPick - Race 2 No. 2 Privlaka - Money Back – Run 2nd RACE 3 No. 2 Jumbo Prince Toowoomba trained galloper who won split the prize first up in the Weetwood before a solid effort behind the since Hollindale placed Single Gaze in a fast run race here three weeks back. He was rising 400m on that occasion suggesting he’ll strip a lot fitter this time around. Somewhat of a dead-heat expert he shared this race with Rudy last year, chance to go one better tomorrow.
