Chris Nelson’s Sunshine Coast Best Bets Posted on March 4, 2022March 4, 2022 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.13 Little Miss Pixie Toowoomba trained mare racing in good form this prep. Although yet to race on the Poly Track she does settle handy to the speed which is a definite advantage on the surface and with Angela Jones’ claim gets in with the same weight she carried last start when a strong second behind Expert Eye at Doomben. Gets her chance to cap off her good consistency with a win. RACE 6 No.5 Tuscany Bound Kacy Fogden trained galloper who has only had the two starts to date both being first up. He didn’t get things his way on debut when caught wide without cover and was sent for an immediate break. His return outing here back mid last month was a very impressive win coming from off the pace to run right over the leader late, really impressed me the way he found the post. Taking a punt he’ll be able to produce another big effort on the Poly Track. RACE 8 No.3 Kaboom Looking for Ben Thompson to ride this local mare with urgency from the good draw as I feel if he is close enough into the straight she can get past the leaders which isn’t always easy around this track if too far back. Freshened up since a couple of solid placings here this isn’t an overly strong race which suggests she’ll get her chance to break her maiden status. Quaddie 13, 10 5, 2 1, 8, 6 3, 6 Market Market
