Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Best Bets Posted on November 4, 2021November 4, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 1 No.2 Fortified Always been a fan of this horse who has done the majority of his racing in Queensland and with some success. After putting in a shocker at Toowoomba (track blamed) his last couple have been local without winning with a placing at the latest. 2400m tomorrow should suit and I’m happy to give him one more chance on an each-way basis. RACE 7 No.5 Shalatin One of the features of the afternoon is the million dollar Golden Gift for the 2yo’s. This colt from the Joe Pride yard really did catch the eye on debut at Randwick being restrained early from a wide gate to settle in the final pairing. He made ground to the 200m in the straight before really finding the line over the concluding stages to wind up less than 2 lengths from the winner. He wasn’t overly pressured yet ended up running the quickest 200m sectional of the entire meeting! That’s a huge recommendation and he gets 200m extra this time. RACE 8 No.1 Rocha Clock The other highlight is this half million dollar race or the fillies and mares which brings together a very good field. Hard to go past this one who beat all bar Icebath in the Invitation at Randwick last start and of course she then came out and ran second in the Group 1 Cantala at Flemington on Derby Day franking the form. She draws a good gate suggesting she’ll park nice and handy and from there will be very hard to hold out. Quaddie 5, 11, 1, 8 1, 3, 4 5, 1, 8 1, 2, 3, 7 Market Market
