RACE 2 No.9 Pretty Flash

Looked a ‘good thing beaten’ on debut here when unable to gain clear running in the straight at a vital stage, She only saw daylight inside the final 200m and impressively broke 11 seconds her final 200 to run on into 2nd spot however the bird had well and truly flown by that stage. Interesting Putontheredlight who won the race then went to town and was a certainly beaten at Doomben when herself unable to find clear running down the straight. Awkward gate plus some impressive triallers to take on however that debut was extremely good.

RACE 4 No.4 Deep Tempest

Just the single start to date for this Ocean Park gelding from the Vandyke yard and it was a good one. He settled well back in the field before making strong ground to the line late running into 4th spot over 1200m. He takes the step to 1400m tonight and draws well suggesting he’s likely to park no worse than midfield, With natural improvement, facing only average opposition and from closer in the run under Ryan Maloney he’ll prove very hard to hold out.

RACE 5 No.14 Vital Source

Only lightly raced he’s really hit his straps at prep number three either winning or placing at all four runs. Aided by a strong tempo he rounded up his rivals mid straight before powering away to score by 3 lengths here two back breaking his maiden status. He went to Ipswich last start which is a track not set up to suit his strong finishing pattern yet there he was attacking the line late into 3rd being beaten less than half a length. 1400m here from a good gate looks tailor made!
