He returned to form last start with a strong finishing Eagle Farm win and keep in mind he placed in both the South Pacific Classic and Hawkesbury Guineas as a 3yo. He didn’t come up last prep however looks to have bounced right back to his best now. RACE 8 No.2 Kolding Very tough customer to catch however he’s going to benefit from a massive class drop here. He’s finished around 5 lengths from the winner both starts this prep, first up behind Private Eye in the Nature Strip Stakes before in Group 1 company at Flemington behind Alligator Blood in the Champions Mile. He might not be at his very best these days however wouldn’t need to be to have these covered. Happy to have a go each-way at the big price. RACE 9 No.8 Bullfinch Another at decent odds who looks well worth an each-way play on Saturday. He’s had the two goes this prep for a couple of close-up efforts at Eagle Farm then Randwick when closing off well behind Tamerlane. He should be right at his peak now third up and can secure a good run from the favourable draw. Slight weight drop won’t harm his chances either.
