Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on June 3, 2021June 3, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 7 No.5 Nudge She’s going to have to overcome a likely soft tempo this Chris Waller trained mare however on what she displayed winning at Doomben she’s well up to doing just that. Under similar circumstances she powered home from half way down the straight to charge past her rivals in very impressive fashion. Can only suggest the bigger track and longer run home will help her cause. RACE 8 No.3 Bargain Really keen on this Mark Newnham trained filly in the Group 1 Oaks tomorrow. Placed in the ATC Oaks in the spring she had 5 weeks off before running a terrific second behind Only Words in the Roses a fortnight back. That will bring her on plenty fitness wise and from the good jockey Josh Parr can give her the perfect run. Looks a good price too. RACE 9 No.5 Our Playboy Doubt I’m the only one who spotted this Victorian visitor hitting the line with plenty of dash first up at Doomben. At his first start since being gelded he almost broke 22 seconds his final 400 and 11 seconds his final 200m in a race which wasn’t run to suit. He can mix his form however he’s generally been facing stronger opposition suggesting this is suitable. Good value. Quaddie 7, 9, 1 5, 4, 3 3, 1, 6 5, 12 Market Market
