Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on July 26, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 1 Sneaky George Back to 380m a huge plus. Box 1 not exactly his box but he’s a big boy who can push up here and look for the arm and even if he doesn’t get it, he has a super turn of foot up the back to put himself in this. If he does lead, it’s over. Great show here and a clean step would be all that’s needed. Race 5 No. 6 Storm Alert The draw is a little sticky but he’s ultra consistent and keeps coming from anywhere. Good effort behind Sneaky Peaky last time and he has got a low to sub 30 in him. Run to the first turn all important and just needs to push up and get that spot early. Race 6 No. 2 Wise Dohne and No. 1 Kakadu Storm A lot of speed in this. With the 4 dog being the one to hold a few up out wide, we look to the fence here. The 2 could lead these. Not sure how they catch her if she does. She’s racing better than her form looks. The 1 is a smoky but the kennel have him going as well as he could ever go and that’s enough to run a race EW here. Draw perfect and can’t be ignored at odds. Race 8 No. 6 Coco Shimmer Racing very well and again looks to go close here. Continues to run on hard at the end of her races and will be fully primed now at her 5th run back. Small field suits and this actually somewhat easier than her last 2. She hits top two here with any clear run at all. Race 9 No. 8 Left Right Now and No. 7 Guess Why Not sure why the 8’s a price. He’s got his box, he’s been winning over an unsuitable shorter trip, twice, and the step up can only help. Will show up early out wide and muster down to put himself on speed and he won’t stop coming over the last section. Can hit top two here at the good odds. The 7 broke through here last week and is running the time to again be competitive. She will also step well, go fast and sticks on strongly in her races. Don’t dismiss. THE MEADOWS Race 3 No. 4 Mepunga Smokey He’s very promising this bloke. Comes out of the Maturity series and already has a terrific strike rate. Placed all 3 track and trip and this is his chance now. Goes fast off the mat and has gone 29.27 at Sandown. That wins this and easily if he leads again. Race 6 No. 6 Misty Black Not a vintage field of stayers but this girl can stay. She has good speed but a little flat through the middle then gets going again. Won a sprint last start so expect her to get up there early again. Clear run and she holds a spot to the line here. A winner track and trip and can go well. Race 7 No. 6 Gabby’s Gyros Another coming out of strong races. Went well behind the subsequent Maturity place-getter last time and placed twice prior here. Has a good last section and the small field can suit here as can the box. A top two player if she’s close up the back and she should be. Market Market
