Scott Embry’s Wednesday Belmont Preview Posted on July 26, 2023July 26, 2023 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 SECRET IDENTITY, DIAMOND COMMAND and CAVALLO RED are all last start winners who clash in the last 3 year old 0MWLY of the season. SECRET IDENTITY will have to come back in trip from 1650 to 1400m which may see him a touch vulnerable when the sprint goes on but it’s a wonderful use of the Brayden Gaerth claim and he is a proven wet tracker and a proven back-up commodity. DIAMOND COMMAND enjoyed the world perfect run last Wednesday and duly saluted. Draw makes things tougher. CAVALLO RED is still learning what it’s all about but he’s steadily improving. ENCHANTING SOUND next best. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – SECRET IDENTITY WIN RACE 2 YALLINGUP GIRL looks to have found her most suitable race to date. Showed ability on debut when sustaining a wide run on a Heavy9 at Pinjarra Park, was lost in the breeze behind Spirit Of Gerry and Cavallo Red at her second career outing and then last start went down narrowly behind Cavallo Red and they got right away from the rest. Can park behind the speed and the cutaway is available if required. SCENERY got into trouble last start before the corner and that was the end for him. Actually beat home Yallingup Girl in the Spirit of Gerry race. BONDI’S FUTURE is accepted Wednesday and Thursday. Forget he went around last week. BRING THE BLING is going well. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 13 – 6 Suggested Bet – YALLINGUP GIRL WIN RACE 3 DUBAI’S DAUGHTER will be favourite for this race and she’s currently First Emergency. Makes assessing the race difficult, because if she starts she’s clearly the one that punters will want to be with, if she doesn’t start then there’s a lot of alternate trial form to get through. Hopefully she gets a start because she looks ready to win off her dominant Lark Hill trial. LET IT GO RUPERT was doing his best work late behind Ginnivan at Belmont in a very fast run trial. Like the way he attacked the line. ROYALE MUCK UP was in that same trial and snuck up along the fence. Keep safe at huge odds. CHAMPEZE had blinkers added in her most recent trial and won well. Numbers: 15 – 6 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – DUBAI’S DAUGHTER WIN RACE 4 ROCKARIA should take great improvement from his first-up run. He worked across from a wide gate, lead them running and was found wanting over the final furlong. He should again bounce out and put himself into a commanding position throughout. WAR HYMN has her first start for Chris Willis. She was always hard in the market in this grade when trained by Simon Miller. See no reason why she won’t be highly competitive. DEEP POINT has his first start in WA. Trialled very quietly behind Rockin’ Rupert and Cross Statement. Imagine they’ll ride him similar to the trial, sit out the back and see if he can zap them late. WINNING ACES drops in grade out of a winner producing race. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – ROCKARIA WIN RACE 5 IMPRUDENT has returned to racing in excellent order. First-up at 70-1 he flew from a mile off them on a Saturday to finish only a head off Colossal and then he showed it was no fluke when stepping out again in a 66+ when finishing 1L off Olga Louisa and Premium Choice. Drops back to a midweeker and after the claim of Victoria Corver he gets in with only 54.5kg. When they fan for home along the cutaway she’ll just need to fight the right gap to attack. PONYO has her first start for Grant & Alana Williams. She did finish 4th at Listed Level as a 3 year old and her trial was impressive. UNIVERSAL PLAYBOY is another class dropper in a very deep race. SWIM THROUGH has the cutaway and finds this lengths easier than 3 year old 62+ company. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – IMPRUDENT EACHWAY RACE 6 BIG CITIES is having his fourth run in the month of July. He raced on 6 July at Pinjarra and then backed up off 7 days over the last two consecutive weeks. He’s now on his third straight one week back-up after again doing it tough behind King Cruzer in a C5. Amazing effort to keep producing. GALANCY was a surprise winner first-up when leading from start to finish. Should only improve for the outing. AIRLIE QUEEN has shades attached for the first time in her life. She’s an honest and consistent type. SALACIA QUEEN will sit back and look to sneak runs along the fence. Nice quiet trial. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – BIG CITIES EACHWAY RACE 7 FLOPPY gets through the wet tracks and grows a leg off the 7 day back-up. He backed up five starts ago when a really unlucky third behind I Love Your Smile when completely chopped out half way up the straight, he again backed up three starts ago when second to Flash Ducati (beating home Gratias Deo) and last week he ran an honest race in a C3 behind Starry Heights. Chris Parnham jumps on and he always goes round eachway. MAIL comes through a winner producing race. That race behind Snazzler has already produced Vital Gem, Starry Heights and Loopy’s Baby as well as Angel’s My Name who was unsuccessfully plunged. Respect. GRATIAS DEO and BUCKLAND come through the same race. Not much between them. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – FLOPPY EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,4,5 3,4,5,6,7,8 3,4,5,6,8 2,8 Market Market
