Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on January 23, 2024January 23, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 TIME TO CHAT seemed to hit a flat spot before working through the line strongly last time and looks suited with the application on blinkers. DRAGOON was only nabbed on the line last start and was luckless at his previous start. THOUGHTFUL WOMAN beat home Time To Chat here at their latest runs, so must have a case. HOT CITY will appreciate 1600m. Selections: 9,4,8,6 Suggested Bet: Time To Chat to win Race 2 LA CASONA has been jumping out in good style and looks ready to make her presence felt on debut. ZASZOU has jumped out well to kick off her second prep and the form around her debut run has held up ok. INEZ has a race fitness advantage and has been close up at her two runs to date. SACRED ROCKS has been jumping out quite well but her latest effort was in significantly slower time than her stablemate La Casona, on the same morning. Selections: 7,9,5,8 Suggested Bet: La Casona each way Race 3 CATAHOULA has the potential to progress on to better races and has jumped out well to resume. TANTO is fit, consistent and shapes as shapes as a strong danger. HISSY FIT found a suitable race last time and appears suited staying at this trip. GUERRERA has been jumping out well, all his runs to date have been at 1200m+ but respect her talent and the stable. Selections: 6,4,2,5 Suggested Bet: Catahoula to win Race 4 No recent trial or jumpout for SCULLY but he should be strong late over 1000m on the fresh side. KAIDO looked strong winning last start and can make his own luck. STARZ BARWON is going ok and a strong senior rider should suit. DEGREEOFDIFFICULTY is racing well and has been kept up to the mark with a solid jumpout between runs. Selections: 7,3,1,5 Suggested Bet: Scully each way Race 5 RUNNING ON TIME was below market expectations last time but that form has held up well and the stable have implemented a number of gear changes. THE NEGOTIATOR has retuned in good form and with blinkers off should settle a little further back than his last start. MR TRAFFICANTI had no luck at his latest run and that form ties in NURSERY CHIME. ACTAEON is having a good prep, he can make his own luck and may improve further swapping winkers for blinkers. Selections: 5,4,7,1 Suggested Bet: Running On Time each way Race 6 MISS PASSION stuck on ok in a messy race last start and maps well. BOLD MANNER has retuned well. She has been avoiding wet tracks and as a result is on the fresh side here after a luckless run last time. IGOTCHA has upside and has jumped out well to kick off her second campaign. GREAT GUST will make his own luck with an in-form apprentice aboard. Selections: 10,3,7,4 Suggested Bet: Miss Passion each way Race 7 INTREPID EAGLE and EXCEED THE DREAM come through a key lead up race and there was plenty of merit in both their runs. Intrepid Eagle was forced to change course in the home straight to avoid the wayward Exceed The Dream, who had travelled wide throughout the race. DAILY BUGLE will appreciate stepping up to 1300m. POLANCO hasn’t won for a long time but continues to race well. BLUESTONE LANE and LE FERRARAI have claims. Selections: 1,10,8,7 Suggested Bet: Intrepid Eagle each way Race 8 STAR VEGA recorded an impressive victory in a similar race last start and looks the one to beat again despite rising in weight. MOVEFORLEX has been ket fresh since his encouraging return. He’s jumped out well between runs and should appreciate 1800m. HARD TO CROSS races well here and should be close to his peak third up. MIDNIGHT GLOW has retuned in great form for the new stable and will relish the step up in trip. WHAKAMANA and DUBLIN JOURNAL are in the mix. Selections: 11,4,3,9 Suggested Bet: Star Vega each way Market Market
