Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on September 13, 2022September 13, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Potentially a good form race. HE’S HANDSOME stuck on well behind a promising galloper last start. LOTTOWON has been trialling and jumping out impressively, Craig Williams to ride on debut is a positive sign. DAKARAI has performed well at his two runs to date and shown tactical versatility. YAKI ISHI showed a bit in his first prep and kicks off at a suitable trip. THE DEPUTY won a recent Cranbourne jumpout in good style and wears blinkers for his debut. Selections: 4,7,2,13 Suggested Bet: He’s Handsome each way Race 2 A number of debutantes have shown quite a bit at trials and jumpouts making it difficult to be confident. LIPS DON’T LIE is one of the debutantes to show up at the trials and the Price & Kent/Zahra combination is going well. WANGO AWARD hit the line strongly on debut and looks suited at 1300m. TAJNEED has trialled nicely in Sydney recently and earlier jumpouts in Melbourne also looked good. FOXY CLEOPATRA has been jumping out well. AS TIME GOES BY, QUEEN LATIFA and ZOE’S PROMISE have claims in a deep race Selections: 6,11,10,4 Suggested Bet: Lips Don’t Lie each way Race 3 KISSINGER drops in grade and had plenty against him with the race shape last start. ROSE DIOR looks an obvious danger, she had excuses last start. MR BLACKWOOD has shown staying promise, he has been trialling well and kicks off at a suitable trip. MAX MERCURY has returned from a long break in good form. He rises in grade but Oliver sticking is a positive and he should appreciate stepping up to 1800m. HOLSTER was solid after returning from Darwin and might appreciate coming back in trip. Selections: 1,9,7,6 Suggested Bet: Kissinger each way Race 4 MAHREZ is likely to strike a significantly firmer track than he xperienced first up and was competitive against decent three year old company last prep. RED PHANTOM has been back to the trials since his first up run and looked good with blinkers applied. OUR BOY BRIAN chased an in form galloper last start and is drawn to get a soft run. JUPITUS has run well at both is runs this prep but has had a decent gap between runs. I COULD DO BETTER drops in grade and had been trialling well leading into this prep. RUDY RUDE will strip fitter third up and will appreciate an improving track. Selections: 13,6,9,10 Suggested Bet: Mahrez each way Race 5 Deep race. PICARONES will strip fitter and maps for a good run, firmer ground than last start looks a positive for her. SAVONIA was positively ridden to win well first up. REBEL’S CHOICE looks suited stepping up to 1300m second up. REPUTABELLE has stakes form in New Zealand and has jumped out ok in a recently, she gets blinkers on. PERFECT WORLD can be hit and miss but looks to be going well enough at the jumpouts. LULU DARLING, CANTINA and SPRING VALLEY are all last start winners with claims. Selections: 10,14,7,1 Suggested Bet: Picarones each way Race 6 Another Deep race. DREAM OF VENUS looks promising, she chased an in form galloper last time and should appreciate firmer ground. VICTORIA ROC bolted in on debut in New Zealand and has been trialling well for the new stable. QUEEN OF NATIONS is another to win well on debut and has trialled well to kick off her second prep. UNTOUCHABLE ED had no luck first up. MARIMENKO has been jumping out nicely to resume. If emergencies THALURSIAN and/or OBFUSCATION gain a start they are in the game. Selections: 11,12,13,14 Suggested Bet: Working around 11,12,13 & 14 in multiples Race 7 ZOUZARELLA trialled well before her first up run, she looks well placed dropping in grade and stepping up in trip. THE GARDEN is a winner here who ran well first up. FIELD OF ROSES is flying for the new stable. HELLO BROADCAST has found some good form. He’s had good trails near the inside to win recently but should be able to get cover in this race. ELUDING is a winner second up and a winner here, he ran ok first up and may settle a bit better with that run under his belt Selections: 9,6,13,10 Suggested Bet: Zouzarella each way Race 8 VIVIANE won well first up, she might get a sweet run behind what looks a solid tempo and looks hard to beat again. BLISTERING has jumped out well, she will also appreciate what appears to be a strong tempo. NO CRYING usually runs well first up and has been jumping out nicely as has TYCOON HUMMA. NEVERSTANDINGSTILL, FIRST DIVISION and JILLETTE are likely to be part of the speed and looks the best of the on pacers. If the emergencies BENEFICIO and/or THE SISTERS gain a start they have claims Selections: 3,1,12,4 Suggested Bet: Viviane to win Market Market
