Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Cranbourne Preview Posted on September 27, 2022September 27, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 RULE OF TIME hit the line well over 1100m on debut and the step up to 1400m looks suitable. FAR FROM DISCREET has jumped out well to resume and the form through her first prep is solid. MISS SASSY will strip fitter third up ang gives the impression 1400m will suit. She chased well behind a smart filly last start. LOVE NEST was good two starts ago and had a bit against her in much stronger company last time. VINCIBLE looks suited by the rise in trip. ZENZELLA has jumped out nicely to resume for a new stable Selections: 10,4,6,7 Suggested Bet: Rule of Time to win Race 2 SIR ROCKFORD did a few things wrong in the home straight on debut after some encouraging jumpouts. The form out of that race has held up well and he looks hard to beat. FLIGHT TO THE MOON didn’t have the best of luck behind a smart one on debut, the rise in distance looks suitable. GULF OF GUINEA ran well without much luck first up and the winner of that race has won again. FAME is in the mix should he gain a start. GOTTABESAVVY has been jumping out quite well and looks suited at this trip on debut. Selections: 7,2,3,16 Suggested Bet: Sir Rockford to win Race 3 Competitive race. CALICO JACK was well backed and recorded some good late sectionals first up over 1000m. As a short priced favourite he didn’t meet market expectations but 1200m looks a nice progression. JUST A THEORY will make her own luck and has run well at all her runs to date. GRANNY’S REWARD chased well behind Just A Theory first up. CLIMBING STAR has been jumping out well and shown tactical versatility in her jumpouts. BODY BOB will give a sight on speed. LAKE AGAWAM was well backed and beaten by a smart filly on debut. He has claims should he make the field. Selections: 9,4,12,3 Suggested Bet: Work around 9,4 & 12 in multiples Race 4 CRUX strikes a suitable race to break through. He didn’t have the best of luck over 1400m on debut and looks suited stepping up to 1600m. VANCOUVER BAY will strip fitter third up and also looks suited rising to 1600m. He was held up at a crucial stage last start. NOUVEAU MARCHE gets blinkers on and has his ground ok in the same race as Crux on debut. CRIMSON REWARD also gets blinkers and is capable of improving. COME AGAIN is another that didn’t have the best of luck last start. Selections: 2,4,9,1 Suggested Bet: Crux to win Race 5 D Day is approaching for MOUNTAIN RANGE but he hits this race third up and may have been caught in slightly inferior ground last start. He’s drawn to have clear air which seems to suit. WHIRLY JIG will be better over further later in the prep but he has jumped out well and is suited first up at this trip. AMERICAN ACTRESS and RUMBLEINTHEJUNGLE come through the same race and both look suited at 1600m. American Actress gets blinkers. MISS MOONSHINE was poor last start, her previous form, including an impressive maiden victory, was good enough to be competitive. Selections: 2,1,6,5 Suggested Bet: Mountain Range to win Race 6 BUBBLY LASS was back to something like her best last start. If she can hold that form, she will be hard to beat. GULF OF SAROS has had three recent jumpouts to be ready first up. This is a suitable trip for him first up. STARSPANGLED BABY isn’t a noted first up performer but she has jumped out nicely to resume. BREASLEY has jumped out well enough behind some talented gallopers and kicks off a s suitable distance. ESTRAPAZ, SEMPRE FORTIS and CHALONNE PRINCESS have claims. Selections: 4,1,6,2 Suggested Bet: Bubbly Lass each way Race 7 OBFUSCATION hit the line well at his first run for the new stable and is a previous second up winner at 1300m. PROWLING was caught wide after being slowly away last start. He’s been a bit frustrating this rep but will be close to peak fitness third up and the blinkers come off. KOROBEINIKI was unlucky first up, she should be suited by the slight rise in trip. COMMODITY showed some versatility coming from off speed last start. That gives connections some options from a favourable draw. REIGATE has been jumping out well. LATVIAN drops in grade and will strip fitter. Selections: 3,2,9,7 Suggested Bet: Obfuscation to win Race 8 SHIPSTERN measured up ok at stakes level last start following a strong maiden victory. MARIMENKO is a previous first up winner, he’s had three recent jumpouts to be ready first up and looks to be going well. TUAHINE won well first up last prep and has jumped out nicely to resume. TRADING POST gets blinkers back on and has been jumping out well between runs. ROLLING MOSS back up quickly and will give them something to chase. SCHWOON has talent and was given a pretty quiet time in a recent trial. Any late market support could prove significant. Selections: 11,1,10,5 Suggested Bet: Work around 11 & 1 in multiples Market Market
