Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Bendigo Preview Posted on September 20, 2022September 20, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Track likely to be in the heavy range with some rain forecast on race day. GUIDO handled heavy ground well last start and has improved since the application of blinkers. SIX DEGREES was ok in the same race as Guido last start but has a bit of ground to make up on him. AEROSPACE is shaping as though that rise in trip will suit and has been handling heavy tracks well of late. RANGI TANE looks the other key hope coming through the same race as Aerospace. Selections: 2,1,5,6 Suggested Bet: Guido to win Race 2 FERRARI MAN looks likely to control this race from the front and seems to handle wet tracks ok. The recent form around him looks strong through Elkington Road and Artzino. THISISMYTURF was well below expectations last start behind Ferrari Man but his previous runs were of a much higher standard. WARCHIME hasn’t raced on a track rated worse that soft 5 but he hit the line well on the synthetic track at Ballarat last start and should appreciate 1600m. INNERBLOOM shapes as through 1600m will suit and blinkers go on. Selections: 1,3,4,7 Suggested Bet: Ferrari Man to win Race 3 CAPTAIN BRITAIN caught the eye weaving through near the inside late on debut and looks suited stepping up to 1400m. He’s been back to the jumpouts since. BEOUR BAY may settle a bit closer than last start from a favourable draw and with winkers applied. She looks ready to break through and seemed comfortable on heavy ground last start. ST PATS DAY worked home well on debut and should appreciate 1400m. SONOFTHEBEAST will strip fitter and make his own luck, heavy ground under race conditions is some query. BLESS HER SOUL should appreciate 1400m. NEFERTITI’S SECRET is better than maiden grade and has been jumping out ok. Selections: 1,7,5,10 Suggested Bet: Playing multiples around 1 & 7 Race 4 GIGATON has been given a number of trials and jumpouts leading into his debut. He worked home in eye catching style at his most recent trial over 1190m at Cranbourne and looks suited on debut at 1400m. The engagement of Craig Williams, who rode him in that trial, is a positive lead. SPYLARK ran well here at her first Australian start and looks suited by the slight rise in trip. BIOLUMINESCENCE has been most consistent and 1400m on the fresh side looks suitable. ALGENDY worked through the line ok first up and looks suited by the rise in distance. Selections: 12,8,5,11 Suggested Bet: Gigaton to win Race 5 Potentially a strong maiden. SUNZOU pulled up with a degree of lameness on debut and has been trialling well on heavy ground to resume. HURRICANE THUNDER has looked good in a couple of recent jumpouts. FERLAZZO may appreciate further in time but has trialled well to resume. GARZA BLANCA has been back to the jumpouts since performing below market expectations on debut. He jumped out well and a tongue tie goes on. CONTANTI and SCREAMING DIVA have claims. Selections: 13,11,15,10 Suggested Bet: Sunzou each way Race 6 Competitive race. TORI’S DEE had no luck being held up near the inside last start in a similar race. EL SALTO comes through the same race and was also held up prior to getting clear late. AIRCLASH has trialled well to resume and will be strong late. There wasn’t much between DARCEANDERMILL, SNAPPY MAGNUS and YOSEMITE here last start and they all have claims again. SCHWOON had a quiet trial recently and any late market support could be significant. Selections: 5,3,12,13 Suggested Bet: Work around 5,3,& 12 in multiples Race 7 BLOW IN is racing in great form and got through the heavy conditions at Sandown last start with ease. He’s getting up in the weights but on his recent form he can carry the weight and win again. Doubt 1500m will stop him either. LET’S SEA was no match for a talented galloper last start but will strip fitter and maps for a good run. TURN IT UP TOMMY has been paced on heavy ground. He should’ve finished a lot closer when resuming last start after being badly held up near the inside rail. CLAIDHEAMH MOR has trialled nicely to resume and kicks off at a suitable trip. Selections: 1,3,10,2 Suggested Bet: Blow In to win Race 8 PERUSAL looked good winning his maiden two starts back, then had excuses in a stronger race last start. He’s trialled ok on heavy ground. TYCOON COMMANDER won his maiden last start in impressive fashion. He seemed to relish the rain affected ground and looks capable of measuring up to this stronger company. MR FREEZE has shown talent and may appreciate the rise in trip. HEAVY DUTY has been jumping out quite well to resume and has claims along with SEMPER FORTIS and HOFF TO SEA. Selections: 1,2,7,3 Suggested Bet: Perusal each way Race 9 OBFUSCATION resumed with an eye catching run over 1012m at his first run for the new stable and is a previous second up winner here over 1300m. He’s run well on a soft 7 rated track. PERCEPTIVE looks to have a bit of upside and has trialled well to resume. Her form around Illation, Mac ‘n’ Cheese and Fortunate Kiss reads well for this. REIGATE has jumped out nicely to resume. ARKTIKA is hard to asses, her best of race day is clearly good enough but she can mix her form and her jumpouts aren’t any real guide. MISTER ME and SALUTE THE SUN have some claims. Selections: 6,7,5,2 Suggested Bet: OBFUSCATION to win Market Market
