Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 5, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 SIR GALAHAD (1) has won six of his 11 career starts including an all-the-way win here two starts back when he dashed home in 55.7. His last run can be overlooked and he should lead throughout from the pole. MY CARBON COPY (7) has won three of his last four starts and will be charging home tonight. JUSTASEC (9) has won eight of his 11 starts and has plenty of ability but will find it hard from this draw. MAJOR SHARD (10) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be placed. Tips: 1 7 9 10 Suggested Bet: SIR GALAHAD (1) to win. Race 2 THREE BEARS (2) resumed with a solid 6th to Ideal liner in better company before running on well to finish 2nd in slick time at Pinjarra. He is well drawn here and should give a great sight. THE DALI EXPRESS (10) has been placed at his last three starts and comes right into calculations if the polemarker holds up at the start. MARQUISARD (1) may elect to take a sit but hasn’t had much luck lately and could press for an all-the-way victory. NAVAL AVIATOR (3) is drawn to be handy in the run and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 2 10 1 3 Suggested Bet: THE DALI EXPRESS (10) each way. Race 3 BRAEVIEW BONDI (9) has only missed a place twice in his 12 starts this season and has put up brave efforts in his past two runs. He is drawn wide but is suited by the staying trip and will prove hard to beat. ROCKNROLL WHITYBY (1) followed some average form with a dominant Northam win and must be considered on that effort. CAPTAIN MANNERING (2) was only beaten a neck when 3rd here last week and looks a major player from his perfect draw. HOIHO (11) is racing consistently but isn’t as well suited from the back line. Tips: 9 1 2 11 Suggested Bet: BRAEVIEW BONDI (9) to win. Race 4 ANA MALAK (8) wasn’t able to break through last time in but raced extremely well, including an unlucky 4th in the Fremantle Cup. He has been freshened up for this assignment and has a tough draw to overcome but is the class runner of the field. CHIAROSCURO (1) grows a leg in front and looks the leader tonight and should give a great sight. ALWAYS ARJAY (10) loves this draw and should enjoy a lovely run in transit. THEO AVIATOR (2) was a good winner here two starts back and can play a part from this draw. Tips: 8 1 10 2 Suggested Bet: ANA MALAK (8) to win. Race 5 DOUBLE EXPRESSO (1) has won ten of her 13 career starts and should have little trouble leading throughout here. INTHESKYROCKET (8) won her last two starts before a spell and has plenty of ability but it is hard to see her toppling the favourite from this draw. RED HOT LADY (6) was a good winner at her last and looks a great place chance. STAR OF DIAMONDS (2) is drawn to trail the favourite and can be placed if the toe-rope doesn’t snap too early. Tips: 1 8 6 2 Suggested Bet: DOUBLE EXPRESSO (1) to win. Race 6 MAJOR MARTINI (2) started from the outside barrier and charged home to be narrowly beaten by Double Expresso last start. This is an easier assignment and he is clearly the one to beat. CAVEMAN (1) has won three of his last five starts in easier company and should give some cheek from the pole. MANNING (3) couldn’t handle the pressure when beaten into a distant 3rd at Pinjarra but should be thereabouts off a soft run tonight. POISEDTOPOUNCE (4) is first-up here and has the ability but has an awkward draw outside of the fancies. Tips: 2 1 3 4 Suggested Bet: MAJOR MARTINI (2) to win. Race 7 PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (2) has been racing consistently from bad barriers and gets her chance from this draw. She is better known as a sit-sprinter but gets her chance to lead tonight and should give a great sight in that role. MADAME MEILLAND (6) didn’t perform at her best last time in but warmed up for this with a good Pinjarra trial win. PICK MY POCKET (10) drops in class and looks a major player here. VIVERE DAMORE (9) is racing well but will need luck from her horror draw. Tips: 2 6 10 9 Suggested Bet: PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (2) to win. Race 8 DENNIS (1) was a strong 1.55.3 winner from the breeze before settling too far back at his last start. He should either lead or sit right behind the pace and is a winning chance under either scenario. DOMINATE THE DOJO (4) led and was only beaten 4.5m at his first run back from a break and will be hard to catch if he crosses at the start. JACK WILLIAM (5) was a strong 1.55.2 winner from the breeze last start and must be considered. OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (11) rarely wins but is consistent and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 1 4 5 11 Suggested Bet: DENNIS (1) to win. Race 9 SIMBA BROMAC (7) has finished 2nd at his last four starts and has proved costly for punters but drops in class and gets another chance tonight. He is versatile but may push forward here and does look the one to beat. ICEENOTHINK (6) couldn’t make ground in a quick last half here last week but has a big finish and looks the obvious danger. ROCK ME OVER (5) finished 2nd to Handsandwheels two starts back and can be dangerous with the right trip. MAJOR SPOILT (4) is racing well and can be in the money. Tips: 7 6 5 4 Suggested Bet: SIMBA BROMAC (7) to win. Race 10 FRANCO ECUADOR (1) was a brave 5th at his first run back from a spell after impressing with dominant victories at his first two race starts. He should lead here and be far too good for his opposition. WITHOUTTHETUH (3) wasn’t far away in a strong field last week and is best drawn of the main challengers. VALENTINES BROOK (8) has the best form in the race outside of the favourite but has a horror draw to overcome. COPY N PACE (4) was a close-up 4th to Double Expresso last start and looks a good place chance. Tips: 1 3 8 4 Suggested Bet: FRANCO ECUADOR (1) to win. Market Market
