Scott Embry’s Friday Albany Preview Posted on March 5, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 EASINGTON has been around the mark for the entire Esperance season and now comes to Albany after a solid third to stablemates Sluice Box and May Keep Him on Esperance Cup Day. This looks a great race for him. TRADE STORM has put together two good runs. CAPE REIGN trialed only fairly but hails from a metro stable. MISS PINS has promised to win one all preparation but continues to loom and fade. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – EASINGTON WIN Race 2 LADY NOBEL ran well on debut at Narrogin and draws a gate to have no excuses in a moderate Albany maiden. SUDDENLEY NOBLE ran well on debut and that race has produced Classic Rogue already. GODGIVEMESTRENGTH is the half to Run Liam Run. If he has 1/10th his ability he’ll run a cheeky race. HE’S GONSKI could cross them and take running down. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – LADY NOBEL WIN Race 3 DANEHILL STORM should be able to come across from the wide gate and sit outside the speed and could even be able to cross and find the fence without a real noted speedster engaged in the race. From there he should be mighty hard to run down after fighting hard last start. DEANGLES comes from the same race and was finishing powerfully late in the piece. THE REAL SEPOY was disappointing until Kojonup when winning well with 65kg. PALLADIO bolted in at Esperance. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – DANEHILL STORM WIN Race 4 ALL MAN shifted in abruptly in the home straight on Esperance Cup day when attempting to run down stablemate Deel Red. Was over a month between runs due to abandoned meetings at Esperance and this race on the quick back-up looks ideal. CONTENTIONAL should work across and find the front. From there is hard to run down. UNIVERSAL VAIN has hit form and looks ready for a staying test. TOP AGENT is running consistently good races of late. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – ALL MAN WIN Race 5 WAR KSAR was the best run of the locals in the Albany Cup and that should be the best form reference (and the one the most horses come from). Drawn the inside is a little query but if Kirby can get him to three back the fence he’ll get a run when they fan coming for home. DEFIANTLY is capable of reeling off some very strong late sections. If she is within striking distance can win. PROXY is ultra consistent and Emma Stent rides him particularly well. CORPORATE LARRIKIN should in theory be an apprentices horse. Just let him run. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – WAR KSAR WIN Race 6 STAROIO was not disgraced in town. They went very slow in front and she ended up in a horror position. Every chance of bouncing back to the winner’s circle here. TIME TO HUNT obviously has a few soundness issues (bar plates on here) but looks a nice race for him. CHASING CHAOS will appreciate the 3kg claim of Madi Derrick and horses definitely run for her. PRINCE FRIAR is always a blow out chance. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – STARORIO WIN Race 7 ONE SHORT looks the horse to test the flying Tranquilla Sunrise. Gets in with 55.5kg and from the gate only needs to keep the leader within his sights to get over the top. He is a Saturday horse and his most recent was eye catching behind Lipstick Flickers, The Nicconian and Plutocracy, the later two who have won races since. TRANQUILLA SUNRISE is flying. Roy Rogers has him absolutely humming but weight is starting to catch up with him. POTENT SECRET went well last start. SIR SNUGALOT should do no work and weight relief. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – ONE SHORT WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,10 1,2,3,4,5 1,3,7,10 2,6 Market Market
