Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 15, 2019March 18, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: LIVURA (1) was held up for a run when finishing last at his first run back from a spell. He led throughout to win at this track towards the end of his last campaign and should give a great sight from the pole. KIMANI (12) never got clear when 3rd to BRONZE SEEKER (12) at his return from a break and should make his presence felt here. BACK TO THE BEACH (10) is drawn to get a lovely trip and can be in the money. BRONZE SEEKER (7) was a solid all-the-way winner here last week but isn’t as well drawn tonight. Tips: 1 12 10 7 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (1) to win. Race 2: IM SOXY (2) resumed from a short break with a fast finishing 3rd to Caviar Star in a strong field here last week. He is perfectly drawn tonight and looks the one to beat. AS HAPPY AS LARRY (12) ran four consecutive placings before not being far away when 8th here last week. He is the other class runner of this field and looks the main danger. MAJOR CATASTROPHE (5) wasn’t far away in a stronger field last week and can make his presence felt. ONA HAPPY NOTE (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be placed at odds. Tips: 2 12 5 1 Suggested Bet: IM SOXY (2) to win. Race 3: MAJOR TROJAN (10) impressed at his Australian debut when he ran on strongly in a quick last half to finish 2nd to ELOQUENT MACH (5). He should have taken benefit from that run and will be charging home if he has any luck from this draw. ELOQUENT MACH (5) found the front to beat a similar field at Bunbury and must be considered on that effort. BLETCHLEY PARK (9) wasn’t suited by the slow early pace in that race and will be running on here. TYPHOON TIFF (7) is flying but steps up to tackle the boys tonight. Tips: 10 5 9 7 Suggested Bet: MAJOR TROJAN (10) each way. Race 4: VULTAN TIN (7) faced the breeze when a close-up 5th in the Pinjarra Cup and produced a similar effort when a narrow 3rd here last week. He is likely to press forward and should be right in the finish again. MITCH MAGUIRE (3) defeated a similar field three starts back and is always dangerous if he gets the right run in transit. HERRICK ROOSEVELT (10) was a strong 2nd to Caviar Star last week and can play a part with any luck from this draw. THE BUCKET LIST (11) rarely wins nowadays but will be charging home. Tips: 7 3 10 11 Suggested Bet: VULTAN TIN (7) to win. Race 5: (Best Bet) HANDSANDWHEELS (1) has finished just behind the placegetters, and ROCKNROLL LINCOLN (9), at his past two starts but both efforts have been full of merit. He has a big advantage at the draw over his main rival and can turn the tables tonight. ROCKNROLL LINCOLN (9) is the reigning WA Pacing Cup winner who is still in peak form and can overcome the wide barrier. CLARENDEN HUSTLER (10) goes up in class tonight but should get a lovely run and can be in the money. HASANI (11) can be placed from this draw. Tips: 1 9 10 11 Suggested Bet: HANDSANDWHEELS (1) to win. Race 6: SHOCKWAVE (3) has won three of his past four, including a victory over ITS ROCK AND ROLL (4) and PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (5). He is drawn inside his main rivals tonight and will prove hard to beat. PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (5) won his first seven starts this time in before working too hard when a gallant 3rd last start. He looks likely to get to the breeze comfortably tonight and will be hard to hold out. ITS ROCK AND ROLL (4) has finished 2nd at his past three starts and should be thereabouts. WATCH ME REACT (1) is next best. Tips: 3 5 4 1 Suggested Bet: SHOCKWAVE (3) to win. Race 7: HAS NO FEAR (5) has hit peak form with consecutive victories at this track, including a comfortable win over her main rival here. She is drawn to settle in a prominent position and is clearly the one to beat. SOHO INTERCEPTOR (10) finished 2nd to the favourite at her last start and is the obvious danger. MY PRAYER (6) was a solid 4th behind the two fancies at her first run back from a spell and should strip fitter. PIPPA ROYALE (7) finished 6th in the same event and can be placed at odds. Tips: 5 10 6 7 Suggested Bet: HAS NO FEAR (5) to win. Race 8: OUR ALFIE ROMEO (12) brought up her 4th consecutive victory when she led throughout to defeat a stronger field here a fortnight ago. She overcame a backline draw to win here at her previous start and looks a great chance to notch up her 5th win on the trot. LADY DE LA RENTA (8) has been racing well in stronger company and can overcome her wide draw. MISS SANGRIAL (11) has won three of her last five starts and must be considered. SHE COULD BE GOOD (2) looks the likely leader and will give a great sight. Tips: 12 8 11 2 Suggested Bet: OUR ALFIE ROMEO (12) to win. Race 9: ARDENS CONCORD (2) has only been placed in one of his four starts this time in but his last two efforts have been full of merit. He is drawn to take up a prominent position and would be extremely hard to beat if he could find the top. IM BATMAN (10) has won his last two in great style and will be hard to hold out if he has any luck from this draw. CHARLIE EL (1) was an impressive winner here two starts back and looks a major player from the pole. MISTER BUSHIDO (4) did win here two starts back and can play a part. Tips: 2 10 1 4 Suggested Bet: IM BATMAN (10) each way. Race 10: WALTZINGWITHSIERRA (4) has hit peak form, winning her past two starts in slick time. This is a tougher assignment but she will be hard to beat if she finds the front. LIBERTY ROSE (10) is racing extremely consistently without winning and will be charging home again. DESTINED TO RULE (1) started from this barrier when 2nd here a fortnight ago and should be in the finish again. ULTIMATE MAJOR (7) is working his way towards a win but has a wide draw to overcome. Tips: 4 10 1 7 Suggested Bet: LIBERTY ROSE (10) each way. Market Market
