Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 12, 2022May 16, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 MIDDLEPAGE (2) was a strong winner from the breeze here last week and appeals as the one to beat from the barrier. THE CODE BREAKER (10) started from the same draw when a good 2nd to Eldaytona here last week and will be hitting the line hard if he sees daylight at the right time. APOLLO ROCK (1) led throughout from this draw back in February and must be considered over the sprint trip. HENRIK LARSSON (6) hasn’t produced his best for a while but he has plenty of ability and can surprise. Tips: 2 10 1 6 Suggested Bet: MIDDLEPAGE (2) to win. Race 2 FANCI A DANCE (2) ran a nice 2nd to Beat City in slick time at his last start and had performed well in fast class events before that. He draws to lead here and looks extremely hard to beat. EUPHORIA (12) has finished just behind the placegetters in his last three starts and meets a collectively weaker field tonight. OUR SEQUEL (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and looks a great place chance. WILL I ROCKNROLL (6) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last three starts and is always dangerous with the right run. Tips: 2 12 1 6 Suggested Bet: FANCI A DANCE (2) to win. Race 3 MEDIEVAL MAN (2) is first-up here without a trial but is drawn inside his main rivals and will be hard to beat if he finds the front. VESPA (4) ran on well to finish a close-up 3rd to two smart ones here last week and should be right in the finish. HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (5) is racing well and is capable of winning this event with the right run in transit. ARMA EINSTEIN (9) has a tough draw to overcome but will be charging home of there is a solid early tempo. Tips: 2 4 5 9 Suggested Bet: MEDIEVAL MAN (2) to win. Race 4 TEXAS TIGER (3) has used his brilliant gate speed to cross at his last two starts and will be very hard to catch if he finds the top here. DON’T BOTHER ME NONE (2) steps up to this class fir the first time but is a very promising type and must be considered from this draw. VULTAN TIN (6) has the best form in the race but the wide draw makes it tough. CORDERO (1) has been unplaced in his last six starts but is drawn to sit right behind the speed and should be thereabouts. Tips: 3 2 6 1 Suggested Bet: TEXAS TIGER (3) to win. Race 5 SWINGBAND (2) did all of the work when a narrow winner here last start to bring up his 8th win from 14 starts and is clearly the one to beat. DARDY BOY (1) led throughout here at his last start but may elect to sit on the favourite here and looks a great place chance under that scenario. SOHO SANTORINI (3) led and was no match for SWINGBAND (2) when 3rd at his last start but can finish closer with a softer run. LUCID DREAMS (7) ran on well but just missed when nosed out by the favourite at his last start but isn’t as well drawn tonight. Tips: 2 1 2 7 Suggested Bet: SWINGBAND (2) to win. Race 6 BEAT CITY (5) has been placed in 14 of his past 15 starts and has won his last two in solid time. He is awkwardly drawn tonight but still appeals as the one to beat. JACK FARTHING (6) settled at the rear when 3rd to Ideal Agent here last week and may use his gate speed to find the front tonight. TOMMY BE GOOD (1) ran on well to finish 2nd in the same race and looks a major player from the pole despite being out of the winners’ list for 21 months. GLENLEDI CHIEF (7) has resumed with impressive stand wins but goes up in class tonight. Tips: 5 6 1 7 Suggested Bet: TOMMY BE GOOD (1) each way. Race 7 IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (5) has impressed in winning his last three on end and looks the one to beat again. ANGEL IN WHITE (2) hasn’t had much luck at her last three starts but led throughout from this draw in slick time before that and she will give a great sight if she can find the top. BOORAA (6) has recorded three wins and two 2nds from her last five starts and will be charging home if there is a solid early tempo. REGAL CHEVAL (3) is racing consistently and should make his presence felt from this draw. Tips: 5 2 6 3 Suggested Bet: IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (5) to win. Race 8 UNCONDITIONAL (5) will find this easier than her last assignment and can utilise her good gate speed here. MISS BOUDICA (7) caught the eye here last week when hitting the line hard behind Savvy Bromac and she will appreciate the drop in class tonight. RUN FOR MERCY (4) ran 2nd to UNCONDITIONAL (5) before winning a 1140m event at her last start and can play a part. AREU TALKING (3) has won three of her last five starts in easier company and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 5 7 4 3 Suggested Bet: UNCONDITIONAL (5) to win. Race 9 GOODTIME PE RABBIT (7) has resumed from a spell with two placings at big odds and should break back into the winners’ circle soon. ACE COMMANDER (1) is a reliable trotter who will lead and have a good head start on his main rivals tonight and will give them something to catch. MAJESTIC DREAM (8) defeated ACE COMMANDER (1) and GOODTIME PE RABBIT (7) at her last start but isn’t as well drawn tonight. SUNNYS LITTLE JESTIC (6) was a solid 2nd in weaker company at his first run back for a spell. Tips: 7 1 8 6 Suggested Bet: GOODTIME PE RABBIT (7) to win. Race 10 IM SPIDERMAN (5) couldn’t find the front here last week but battled on well to finish 3rd to Pierre Whitby and will give a great sight if he can cross in the early stages. TIZA NEW DAY (1) sat on Talks Up A Storm when 2nd to that pacer in a slick last half recently and draws to get a similar run tonight. SOHO BROADWAY (8) ran a solid 4th in that race and has the class to overcome the wide draw here. THE TIGER ARMY (10) faced the breeze when a solid 3rd in the same event and is drawn to get a softer trip tonight. Tips: 5 1 8 10 Suggested Bet: IM SPIDERMAN (5) to win. Market Market
