Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 1, 2022April 1, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 HIGH PRICE (2) was held up at a crucial stage before running on well to finish 2nd to Infinite Sign on Monday. He is drawn inside his main rivals tonight and should give a great sight. WONDERFUL TO FLY (9) is racing extremely well and has the best form in the race but has a tough draw to overcome. WHATARETHEODDS (4) was a narrow but impressive first-up winner against moderate opposition and has proven he is up to this class. ALCOPONY (5) has won both starts this time in but rises in class tonight. Tips: 2 9 4 5 Suggested Bet: WHATARETHEODDS (4) each way. Race 2 POWER AND GRACE (3) faced the breeze and was a strong 3rd in 1.54.9 here at his last start and will be very hard to beat if he can find the top tonight. ORLANDO BLUE (5) couldn’t get into the race from a wide draw here last week and will settle in a prominent position here. VULCAN STAR (9) has been flying in weaker company and will be charging home if there is a solid early tempo. HITTHEROADJACK (4) had no luck at all here last start and must be considered on his previous form. Tips: 3 5 9 4 Suggested Bet: VULCAN STAR (9) each way. Race 3 VESPA (5) looked the winner in the run here last week but a flat tyre may have been the difference and he looks the one to beat tonight. WILL I ROCKNROLL (6) doesn’t win too often but his recent form is solid and he must be considered. PALATINO (1) ran a nice 2nd here last week and has the gate speed to be prominent throughout here. AMERCAN BULLITT (2) has been placed in seven of his last eight starts and won’t be far away again. Tips: 5 6 1 2 Suggested Bet: VESPA (5) to win. Race 4 KNOW WHEN TO RUN (2) is the class runner of this field and is likely to find the top and prove too good for this opposition. MISTER BUSHIDO (1) is likely to trail the leader and looks a great chance to fill the quinella position. DOC HOLLIDAY (8) is the other class runner of the filed but has a tough draw to overcome. PIERRE WHITBY (3) will settle just behind the speed and can run into the money. Tips: 2 1 8 3 Suggested Bet: KNOW WHEN TO RUN (2) to win. Race 5 SAVVY BROMAC (3) hasn’t had much luck in her last three starts and draws to make her own tonight. She is the class mare of the field and is the one to beat. MISS MUCHO (2) led throughout to win here in 1.55.4 two starts back and will be very hard to catch if she finds the top. BETTOR GET IT ON (1) is racing well and has options at the start from the pole. VIVERE DAMORE (7) has been placed in four of her last five starts and is capable of winning this event if there is a solid early tempo. Tips: 3 2 1 7 Suggested Bet: SAVVY BROMAC (3) to win. Race 6 CORDERO (3), ran a nice 3rd in the Bunbury Cup at his last start and is drawn to be prominent throughout. BABYFACE ADDA (4) needs the right cart into the race but is racing well in stronger fields and must be respected. DOUBLE UP (5) is racing well and has the best future of these horses but has an awkward draw to overcome. GALACTIC STAR (6) is past his best but still capable of causing a minor upset in a field of this nature. Tips: 3 4 5 6 Suggested Bet: CORDERO (3) to win. Race 7 SPACE JUNK (3) chased hard when a 2.4m 2nd to To Fast To Serious here two starts ago and a similar performance would make him very hard to beat in this company. SPORTS PACKAGE (4) is back to her best with a win and 2nd from her last two starts and will make her presence felt again. ACUTO (1) ran a solid 5th here in a stand last week and should be thereabouts from the pole. MATTJESTIC STAR (10) goes around at big odds every week but this is the type of event where he can surprise. Tips: 3 4 1 10 Suggested Bet: SPACE JUNK (3) to win. Race 8 ARMED REACTOR (9) was an impressive winner here two starts but was disqualified due to ineligibility. He has trialled nicely at Byford recently and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. HOTFOOT IT (10) caught the eye when running on well to finish 4th here last week and has options at the start. C C CHEVRON (1) has limited ability but is always a good place chance when draws the pole. THE LAST DROP (2) hasn’t flattered in his two starts back from a spell but can improve sharply. Tips: 9 10 1 2 Suggested Bet: ARMED REACTOR (9) to win. Race 9 BOORAA (1) has been placed in three of her four starts this time in and looks the leader here and is clearly the one to beat. ZAZU (2) ran a nice 2nd here two starts back and is the obvious danger from his nice draw. MCARDLES GEM (3) should settle just behind the favoured pair and could be the knockout horse if they cut at each other too early. THE NOTORIOUS ONE (4) is a place chance at best but shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: BOORAA (1) to win. Race 10 INDOMITABLE SYMBOL (3) was an impressive Byford trial winner in moderate time and has the advantage of drawing inside her main rival. POCKETFUL OF OPALS (4) has won two of her five starts and has the advantage of race experience. CANDY APPLE (1) chased hard when 2nd to POCKETFUL OF OPALS (4) at her last start and looks a great place chance from the pole. HELLO GORGEOUS (2) has shown flashes of ability and can improve tonight. Tips: 3 4 1 2 Suggested Bet: INDOMITABLE SYMBOL (3) to win. Market Market
