Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 16, 2018August 16, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: SKY RACING THE SCHRADER QUALIFYING HEAT 2 MS PACE SIMBA BROMAC (1) has won 16 of his 28 career starts and was a brave 2nd to Tyler Brett after facing the breeze here three weeks ago. He should lead tonight and win comfortably. EXTREME PRINCE (10) is drawn to get the run of the race and looks a likely placegetter. ARTHUR LOWE (5) is first up after a short break but shouldn’t be far away. THREE KINGS (2) is likely to obtain a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 1 10 5 2 Suggested Bet: SIMBA BROMAC (1) to win. Race 2: INTER SPORT SLATER GARTRELL MS PACE THE FREEDOM FIGHTER (8) won six on end before facing the breeze when a gallant 2nd to Major Pocket. He is drawn wide again but his last start was full of merit. OVERBOARD AGAIN (6) will be fitter for his first-up 5th when he tired late and has plenty of ability. WHENMECHIEF (2) looks the likely leader and will appreciate the drop in class after taking on the likes of Ideal Tyson. LIVURA (7) never runs a bad race but is first-up and is likely to be driven conservatively. Tips: 8 6 3 7 Suggested Bet: THE FREEDOM FIGHTER (8) to win. Race 3: TABTOUCH MS PACE JOHNNY DISCO (1) has finished just behind the placegetters at his three starts back from a spell but has the pole tonight and looks a big improver. EL JACKO (8) has been a beaten favourite at his last two starts but has been far from disgraced and is suited by the small field. VAMPIRO (7) was a gallant 3rd in the Marathon last week and should be in the finish. IMA ROCKNROLL LEGEND (3) ran home in 55.9 when beating EL JACKO (8) last week and must be considered again. Tips: 1 8 7 3 Suggested Bet: JOHNNY DISCO (1) to win. Race 4: RETRAVISION 3YO FILLIES MS PACE DETROIT LILY (7) has only been unplaced twice in her 15 career starts and ran a narrow 2nd in the WA Oaks last time in. She is first-up here without a spell but will be hard to hold out if anywhere near her top. AMELIAS COURAGE (12) has had some good battles with Our Angel Of Harlem recently and will appreciate that filly’s absence tonight. JINGLE JOLT (3)) was a 1.55.8 winner on Monday and will give cheek if she can find the front. VEILED SECRET (9) is racing well but has a horror draw to overcome. Tips: 7 12 3 9 Suggested Bet: DETROIT LILY (7) to win. Race 5: WESTRAL MS PACE MY HARD COPY (1) defeated Lazarus and Chicago Bull in the Fremantle Cup last campaign where he won four of his seven starts. He resumes here tonight and has proven to be a good frontrunner when right. THE BUCKET LIST (2) is drawn to get a perfect run and should be dangerous late. RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (5) was an impressive winner of the Marathon last week and is the horse on the rise. BETTORS FIRE (6) is still racing well but he is having trouble beating these fields from the breeze and is likely to be there again tonight. Tips: 1 2 5 6 Suggested Bet: MY HARD COPY (1) to win. Race 6: PRINCI BUTCHERS WESTRAL MS PACE BEAUDIENE BEAUFIGHTA (7) was a comfortable winner first-up from a spell and then worked too hard when finishing midfield in slick time last start. This looks easier and he should prove hard to beat. CRACKA STAR (1) wasn’t far away when 6th to Runrunjimmydunn last week and is drawn perfectly here. DESTINED TO RULE (10) should obtain a perfect run in transit and won’t be far away. SALEAHS COMMAND (12) is in great form but won’t be able to utilise his gate speed from this barrier. Tips: 7 1 10 12 Suggested Bet: BEAUDIENE BEAUFIGHTA (7) to win. Race 7: WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE MARES MS PACE BETTER B CHEVRON (3) lost form at the end of her last campaign but will be extremely hard to beat if she resumes anywhere near her best. IM STYLISH (2) is racing extremely well and is the best drawn of the main chances. DODOLICIOUS (9) will appreciate the drop back to mares’ company but has a horror draw to overcome. FOREVER REMEMBERED (6) has been running on strongly in her races and could be the blowout if the early tempo is solid. Tips: 3 2 9 6 Suggested Bet: BETTER B CHEVRON (3) to win. Race 8: DIRECT TRADES SUPPLY MS PACE PRESIDENTMACH (4) doesn’t have any great race form to write home about but won a recent trial with a slick last half and could be a big improver here. BUDD SIDEWINDER (5) has been racing consistently in better fields than this and can play a part. NO MORE CHANGE (3) broke twice in running first-up but was fancied so watch the betting again. TAJIE BABY (8) is very quick off the arm and could give some cheek if she can cross in the early stages. Tips: 4 5 3 8 Suggested Bet: PRESIDENTMACH (4) to win. Race 9: GLENROY CHAFF 2YO FILLIES MS PACE MAJORPRIDE (8) has won three of her last five starts, including a victory over his main two rivals from the same draw two runs back. Gary Hall Jnr has stuck with him over their stable runner and he can overcome the wide draw again. COUNTESS GRACE (1) has found MAJORPRIDE (8) and FAKE NEWS (7) too good at her last two starts but will be looking to reverse those results from the pole. FAKE NEWS (7) broke through for a well-deserved win on Tuesday and can go on with it. ROCKING WITH DONNA (2) is the best of the rest. Tips: 8 1 7 2 Suggested Bet: COUNTESS GRACE (1) each way. Race 10: COWDEN INSURANCE BROKERS 3YO WESTBRED MS PACE CLARINA (1) hadn’t shown a great deal but was ultra-impressive in breaking through in an easier event at Bunbury. He has drawn the pole here and will give a great sight if he can reproduce that effort. NO WOW FACTOR (3) has been placed at his last five starts in similar company and should be in the finish again. DELIGHTFUL SHADOW (4) takes on the boys tonight but her recent form is good enough to be thereabouts. DEVILS COURAGE (6) was a fast finishing winner last start and will be charging home. Tips: 1 3 4 6 Suggested Bet: CLARINA (1) to win. Market Market
