Scott Embry’s Saturday Belmont Preview Posted on August 16, 2018August 20, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 AGENT PIPPA is a black type stakes winning filly returning to the races. First up without a trial means we take her on trust but well and truly above average. FLIRTINI hails from the premier juvenile stable in WA and won her trial untested and untouched. Big danger. FIRE AND RAIN lumps a big weight from a sticky draw, interesting to see where he positions. SEVEN CASTLES has looked like a runner at trials. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet: AGENT PIPPA WIN Race 2 PATROCITY has far superior form to any maiden rival here. Placed on four separate occasions to horses who are lengths better than what he meets. Sure to be short but should be winning. CHIEF COCHISE was ridden off speed behind a very slow tempo. The form is questionable but was never a chance from settling back there. GEOGRAPHE BAY is a non-winner but maps to perfection again and sure to be around the mark. KELLY’S SECRET was brilliant from the back first-up, needs to reproduce here. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet: PATROCITY WIN Race 3 SENSE OF POWER is superbly placed with the luxurious claim of Tayla Stone. Rolls straight to the front or sits in the breeze and hard to run down. FREO was eye catching alongside the flying Battle Torque. If they’re making ground watch for him charging. TAXADERMY will box seat and seems to go better with Glenn Smith and weight than with a claimer. EVERYMILE A MEMORY is up massively in class but showed a brilliant turn of foot when released at Pinjarra. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet: SENSE OF POWER WIN Race 4 PYM’S ROYALE will be hoping the track can dry out a little because so far in his remarkable Kalgoorlie career he has only seen hard Good3 surfaces. Exceptionally talented type who meets moderate opposition. PATAPUS is a nice mare on the quick turn around. If she can lob outside the lead she’s the logical danger. NASHVILLE CAT and GUNS OF NAVARONE have met before and showed that there is nothing between them. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet: PYM’S ROYALE WIN Race 5 GRAND CADEAU was forced to do a mountain of work at his first crack at a staying trip this campaign. Back to trials and drawn the inside, eachway all day. TRULY BELONG is a tiny little mare yet to win beyond 1200 but her two runs over this trip have been impressive. JUICING CARROTS has regained form and looks to have found the consistency he was lacking. KENSINGTON ABBEY is on trial at the trip but I’m not giving up, yet. Numbers: 7 – 11 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet: GRAND CADEAU EACHWAY Race 6 GET OVER IT is well placed in this grade and after the claim looks to have fallen into a suitable assignment first-up for a new stable off a pretty strong trial. GREAT AGAIN rolls straight to the top and will attempt to run rivals off their feet. BY DECREE goes 10L better in the wet than she does on dry tracks. TOP OF THE CLASS flies fresh and even better for W.Pike. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 10 Suggested Bet: GET OVER IT WIN Race 7 OLIVER’S TRAVELS will be well worth following this preparation. Doesn’t have the runs on the board in these type of company but improves at every campaign and will no doubt have the Hannans firmly in sight. REBEL KING does his best work fresh and skipping the New Season Sprint may have been a stroke of genius. WAR GOD maps to get an identical run to when winning the Bolton off a similar spacing. YEAH DARDY burst onto the scene and should enjoy a similar run to last start when winning. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet: OLIVER’S TRAVELS WIN Race 8 SNOW LORD has been a touch flat since coming back to Belmont Park. Maps to get a soft run just off a hot tempo and may sneak under the market radar. UNDISCLOSED is a speed machine who needs to roll into the corner and pinch a break on them. Should go close. DIA DE LA RAZA has come back well but may need to punch the breeze this time. PRETENTIOUS CHANT is a fresh 1000m horse. Gets those conditions. Keep safe. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet: SNOW LORD EACHWAY Quaddie 1,3,6,7,11 1,2,3,10 5,6,7,9 3,5,7,8,10
