Race 1

JOELENE (8) defeated a similar field three starts back and her two subsequent runs against stronger field have had plenty of merit. She is drawn wide here but looks the class runner and should prove hard to beat. CAPTAINS BEACHBABE (6) has won two of her last three starts and can use her gate speed to take up a prominent position. BETTOR BEACH BELLE (9) ran a nice 4th to Newsy at her last start and is capable of overcoming her wide draw. SIMPLY SHAZ (5) has won three of her last five starts in weaker company but must be respected.

Suggested Bet: JOELENE (8) to win.

Race 2

PLUTONIUM (5) has been racing in stronger company than he meets tonight and he will be hard to beat with normal racing luck. ROCKMENOW (1) led throughout to win in 1.57.7 three starts back and a similar effort will see him give a great sight. GAYLE FORCE (3) looks to have his share of ability and can play a part from his nice draw. THE STARS ABOVE (8) put up an eye-catching performance to run 2nd here last week and is one to follow.

Suggested Bet: PLUTONIUM (5) to win.

Race 3

POWER AND GRACE (1) has only missed a place once in his last eight starts and was a good last-start winner. He draws to lead here and will be very hard to catch. ALTA BLUES (8) was a strong all-the-way winner here last week and is the obvious danger despite the wide draw. CAVEMAN (4) is racing consistently and should be thereabouts again from this barrier. WHOSWHOISTHEZOO (10) is drawn to get a lovely run on the pegs and can be placed.

Suggested Bet: POWER AND GRACE (1) to win.

Race 4

JASPERVELLABEACH (10) led throughout to record a comfortable win at his last start. He won’t find the top tonight but should enjoy a soft run on the pegs and will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time.  BACK IN TWENTY (4) is in career-best form and should be prominent throughout from this draw. SMART FORTUNE (1) led throughout at his last start and will give plenty of cheek despite the rise in class. RABCHENKO (2) has been placed in five of his past six starts and should be thereabouts again.

Race 5

CHICAGO BULL (1) has disappointed at his two runs back from a spell but he has been forced to work hard in both events. He should get a soft time in front and bounce back into the winners’ circle. MAJOR TIMES (6) had a chequered run last week and didn’t finish the race off but can improve tonight. BALCATHERINE (11) shouldn’t settle too far off the favourite and can be placed with the right run. ROCK ME OVER (10) is drawn to trail CHICAGO BULL (10) and looks a good place chance.

Race 6

SHEEZ OUR HOPE (11) resumed with an impressive 1.56.9 win here before locking wheels and being pulled up at her last start. FIFTY FIVE REBORN (7) raced well in stronger company last time and will give a great sight if she is anywhere near her best. ADDA TARANTELLA (2) is racing consistently and should be thereabouts from her nice draw. ALTAS ANGEL (3) hasn’t had much luck at her last two starts but ran a nice 2nd to To Fast To Serious in a recent trial and must be considered.

Suggested Bet: SHEEZ OUR HOPE (11) to win.

Race 7

TO FAST TO SERIOUS (3) disappointed at his first run back from a spell when finishing 6th to Boom Time. He has since impressed in a recent Byford trial win and should be too classy for this field. HENWOOD BAY (2) ran a nice 2nd to Heavens Showgirl two starts back and looks a good place chance from his nice draw. VESPA (6) was beaten in a photo-finish here last week and will be in the finish if he gets the right trip from his awkward draw. MAJOR STARE (10) has been placed in five of his past six starts and can be in the money again.

Suggested Bet: TO FAST TO SERIOUS (3) to win.

Race 8

RAKASINC (5) has been tackling stronger company and will appreciate the significant drop in class. THEREUGO (7) hasn’t been able to find the front recently but looks to have the speed to cross here and should give a great sight in that role. TUAS DELIGHT (1) is always a chance with the right run and should be thereabouts from the pole. MACHS GOLD (4) battled on well to finish 3rd after facing the breeze at his run back from a spell and should be able to get a nice sit tonight.

Suggested Bet: RAKASINC (5) to win.

Race 9

BLACK JACK ZAC (10) has finished worse than midfield at his past five start starts but draws to get a soft run and should provide good each-way value. VALBONNE (3) has been racing in stronger company and must be considered on his 1.55.7 win here back in April. REBEL WITH A GRIN (1) is a capable frontrunner at his best and can be a sharp improver from the pole. WILL I ROCKNROLL (9) has disappointed in his five starts in WA but drops significantly in class and a win would not surprise.

Tips: 10 3 1 9

Suggested Bet: BLACK JACK ZAC (10) each way.

Race 10

TAKING THE MIKI (6) scored back-to-back victories before running a solid 2nd in the Diamond Classic last week and looks the one to beat tonight. WONDERFUL TO FLY (4) disappointed last start but has since won a Pinjarra trial and will make her presence felt. EAGLE ROYALTY (3) disappointed after facing the breeze in the Diamond Classic but must be considered on her previous form. EXTRAORDINARY MARY (5) is awkwardly drawn but never far away and can be placed.
