RACE 6 No.2 Love Tap

Keen on him first up at Doomben recently however things went pear shaped at the start when he didn’t jump well and settled a lot further back than his normal pattern. There’s no doubting he was a revelation at his initial prep going from a Nowra Maiden win to a Group 3 Gloaming Stakes win within 4 starts. There’s little speed here, he can roll forward and prove very hard to run down.

RACE 7 No.8 Parry Sound

Narrowly beaten here last start I’m going to stick with this one who takes the step up to 2400m in the Listed Winter Cup. He’s actually been beaten narrow margins his past two starts the latest when outgunned fair and square by the winner Polly Grey here over 2000m. A winner and placegetter out to the longer trip he can break through tomorrow.

RACE 8 No.12 Mubariz

Very consistent galloper who scored here last start over this trip in weaker grade. Yes this is clearly a much tougher assignment however he’s at his peak third up from a break and will appreciate the drop in weight back to 53.5kg for an in form Tommy Berry. In the right yard although drawn a touch awkwardly he will be very hard to hold out once again.
