The Scout: EPL Matchday 22 Posted on January 10, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Sheffield United vs West Ham Sheffield United have suffered back to back losses for the first time this season, slipping to 8th on the table. It must be said however that these games were against Liverpool and Manchester City. West Ham started 2020 with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth but remain in major relegation danger down in 16th spot. Sheffield have lost just three times in their last 14 Premier League fixtures and boast the third best defense conceding just 21 goals. The Hammers have won just three of their away assignments this season and will be up against it here against a Sheffield side that has kept their opponents goalless in three of their last six matches at home. Suggested Bet: Match Result Sheffield United @ $1.92* Leicester vs Southampton Leicester remain 2nd on the table with just two losses in their last 13 Premier League games and a 3-0 win over Newcastle to kick-off 2020. Southampton (12th) have won three of their last four games including beating both Tottenham and Chelsea without conceding a goal. League-leaders Liverpool are the only team to beat Leicester at home this season and although the Saints’ form has been strong, it’s hard to see them becoming team number two on that list. Southampton have been fantastic in front of goal, scoring in 12 of their last 13 Premier League matches. I think they can continue this form, with Danny Ings again the man most likely. Suggested Bet: Leicester Win and Both Teams to Score @ $3.10* Tottenham vs Liverpool Jose Mourinho’s tenure at Tottenham (6th) has hit a hurdle off the back of a 1-0 loss to Southampton and a draw to last placed Norwich. What more can be said about Liverpool? They are now 13 points clear of 2nd placed Leicester with a draw against Manchester United the only “blemish” on an otherwise perfect season. The Spurs enter this clash without Harry Kane which makes it hard to see them bringing enough firepower to match it with Liverpool. Away from Anfield, Liverpool average just over two goals per game and I can see Sadio Mane (11 goals) and Mo Salah (10 goals) wreaking a little havoc here. Suggested Bet: Liverpool -1.5 (Handicap) @ $2.70* *Odds correct as at 10am, 10th January 2020. Market Market
