Senior on, drawn well, looks ready to win. TRUE APOSTLE impressed at trials with a sustained run around them, extending away powerfully late for a 2L win. Barrier 1 gives him the chance to track the speed and follow the rail on debut. CHAMPAGNE CATHAY trialled well leading into her debut in the Supremacy and had no luck. RAINLINE looked a natural jump and run type at trials. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – YUWILL BE THE ONE WIN RACE 2 SHILLING LANE impressed at trials and then ran a massive race on debut on Good Friday at Ascot when charging home into second placing behind Riseanfall. He should only improve off that run in terms of both fitness and race experience. Paul Harvey copped a suspension at Ascot on Saturday and has elected to take his time after this meeting – Shilling Lane the reason? Like the way he covers the ground and looks like 1200m is right up his alley. DIALLING was a strong return to racing in a deep C1 against the older horses and does no work from barrier 1. HIT THE JACKPOT is sharp and can roll straight to the top. CHER has visors on and looks better suited back out to 1200. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – SHILLING LANE WIN RACE 3 CRUISE TO RIO was a soft and quiet trial up along the fence behind Ocean Outlaw and then was doing her best work late and through the line first-up over 1200m behind Centre Bond. Steps out to 1400m, can hopefully hold a position from the favourable alley and looks to have found a very winnable race second-up. Only needs to reproduce the fresh run to go close in this. BIONDO has been back to trials since running a narrow second to subsequent C1 winner Macciateau. Logical danger. SASSY SKY ran three minors from three outings in her initial preparation. Keep safe. MOLLY MAGEE is 0 from 30 but is trying hard. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – CRUISE TO RIO WIN RACE 4 BEAU TALK worked across to the lead last start and then was never given any peace out in front at any stage in running. Thought he did a great job to keep fighting on into second placing and the effort of King and Queen behind Stylish Lord in a 3 year old 0MWLY last week at Ascot makes the form look good. Another chance. SNIP OF GLAMOUR has blinkers on and if you disregard the run at York then she’s returned in good order. RUBICK LASS comes back to a maiden and gets Pike. SANDFIRE ROSE gets back to 1400m and can roll to the breeze. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 9 – 10 Suggested Bet – BEAU TALK WIN RACE 5 PLAYBALL showed enough ability in his initial preparation to suggest that he will take beating here. Interestingly he wore blinkers in his recent trial and races here in winkers, however, he looked good in winning that trial and from the draw he can kick through to lead or at least hold a spot close handy. Looks a winnable set up. RICHANCO has won two of his three Lark Hill barrier trials across multiple preparations. Looks above average and a big winning chance on debut. MAJESTIC PRINCESS ran well first-up and Cruise To Rio could frank that form in Race 3. KINGS SALUTE next best. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 13 – 5 Suggested Bet – PLAYBALL WIN RACE 6 BELTA OF A SONG was arguably a good thing beaten in a C1 1000 down the straight at Pinjarra behind sharp filly Krysanova two starts back. She played up at Ascot last start, missed the kick horribly, got caught up in traffic from barrier 1 and was a complete forgive. Back to straight track racing and deserves another go. EXPOROSE is a jump and run type who is drawn to hug the outside rail. That’s where the majority of Pinjarra straight 1000 winners come from. SPECIAL HEART is 1 from 1 down the straight and is drawn on the ‘right’ side. EYESHADOW was only 1L behind Belta Of A Song two back. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – BELTA OF A SONG WIN RACE 7 FIOREYES probably has the 3200m of the Jericho Cup Qualifier in Albany on his radar but this is a nice assignment for him on the way through. Big effort to win first-up 1800 regardless of opposition. He’s an out and out griding stayer and parking up over the speed will suit him here. MARINSKY BALLET gets cover here and is racing like the staying trip will suit. SAVORSKI has shown he’s more than capable at this level since arriving in WA. BIG SWOOP an improver. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – FIOREYES WIN RACE 8 CANGGU and KISS A PRINCESS met in the same race over 1600m on 20 March behind Macciateau and there was only ~1.5L between them. They meet again here and there’s a 1kg weight swing in favour of Kiss A Princess and realistically there shouldn’t be much between them late in the piece. Siding up with CANGUU who has had another run since and can park up over the speed on the 7 day back-up. KISS A PRINCESS the logical danger from that recent encounter form reference. DARK LOOKS seems to be building. COTCHIN has had an interrupted prep but isn’t going too badly.
