Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on February 19, 2019February 19, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PRIZED NEMESIS won’t get a better opportunity than this. Finished well along the fence when held up two starts ago and then made a solid sustained run to test Wee Ripper. Draws to sit in the box seat and goes close. THE HONEYMAN was a big run last start. If he jumps with them can win at a price. PING ME ANOTHER has run three good races this preparation. KENYLUCK should get the right run. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 14 – 6 Suggested Bet – PRIZED NEMEISIS WIN Race 2 I AM SPARTACUS should nearly cross them from towards the outside and if they let him find the fence they’ll have to be pretty good to catch him. AKVAVIT keeps finding ways to get beaten but the form around her is great. METALLIC BELLE was a big run in defeat last start and maps a lot better here. CAN HE RULE HER was simply outclassed in the Pinjarra 3yo Magic Millions. Better race. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – I AM SPARTACUS WIN Race 3 UNI TIME looked a horse at the trials and then could not have been more impressive on debut. His closing sections showed that he will be winning plenty of races and he can win this. MINIKA is a nice filly. There is a chance she gets planted three deep from the wide gate. HEAVENLY AFFAIR trialed well and won well last start. Should sit just off them. BEDOUIN BELLE only comes from a 400m jump out again but looks to have natural talent. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – UNI TIME WIN Race 4 VEGA DIOR has always shown well above average ability. This is a pretty strong Class 3 but she has trialed well, should sit in the first couple in running and her form last campaign was strong enough to win. DENIM PACK has contested harder at 15 of his last 18 starts. Huge class dropper. SLIK SAM comes from a Saturday race that has produced 6 subsequent wins. Gets back and flashes. THUNDERPLUMP should have no excuse from the inside gate. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – VEGA DIOR WIN Race 5 LORD LUDLOW is a brilliant bread and butter horse. Expecting Jason Brown to kick him to lead and with the rail at 10m if we get a customary JJ Brown rack & stack he’ll be hard to run down. LOVE TRADE will be the forgotten horse. Last start was better than it reads on paper. SUPERIOR SMILE was unable to get into the race last start but went well fresh. SEBRING SPY was huge first-up last campaign. Numbers: 4 – 12 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – LORD LUDLOW EACHWAY Race 6 PATCHIRAC was set alight around the field a long way from home last start. This race lacks genuine tempo outside of Acermetric so McGruddy might end up in the breeze and in a very even race is worth inclusion at odds. EXPRESS FLIRT looks good on paper after running second to a subsequent Listed 3 year old winner. LANGLEY is just a class 1 who is deep into a campaign but his last few have been good. FRIAR’S FANTASIA was given every possible by Kennedy last start and just fell in. Numbers: 12 – 2 – 11 – 6 Suggested Bet – PATCHIRAC EACHWAY Race 7 WITHOUT REASON was enormous last start. Got a mile out of his ground when the leaders strung the field right out and he had to make a long sustained run a fair way from home. Run was full of merit and he looks like he will stay all day. DEIMOS was big in defeat in a fast run race behind Bucktorio. Progressive type worth following. SUMMER’S SKYE almost got the cash first-up no trial at a mile. Only improves here. STRONG HEART takes on the older horses and looked to appreciate the step up in trip last start. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – WITHOUT REASON EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,6,8 4,5,8,10,12 2,3,6,8,11,12 2,6,7,8 Market Market
