Scott Embry’s Thursday Geraldton Preview Posted on February 19, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SAKARYA looks ready to win after two minor placings in Geraldton. Awkwardly drawn but showed enough last start to suggest she can overcome the sticky alley. GODS LAND will find this a lot easier than first-up assignment when specked at odds. BLUE EMOTION has done nothing wrong from three starts this preparation. MY CHINA DOLL could be an improver at odds. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – SAKARYA WIN Race 2 HEMINGWAYS looks fairly limited but from the draw should be given every chance to win what is a weak maiden. RED EPIC showed enough at his WA debut to be winning one of these before season’s end. LATEGO STAR could be worth novelty inclusion at a big price. BOSSANOVA BABE trialed well before the start of this preparation but has been slightly disappointing. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – HEMINGWAYS WIN Race 3 YOURTHEONEFORME is a grammatical abomination from a private school family but ability wise looks to be the best horse in the race and more than capable of leading all the way or sitting just behind them and zapping a moderate bunch. FLAMING GALAH is fresh and should have won on debut when $81 into $6.5. Expect a big showing. WILD MEMORIES will sit off them but come late. CHINA MISS went well first-up. Numbers: 4 – 9 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – YOURTHEONEFORME WIN Race 4 KWIKON THE TRIGGER grows a leg when it can find the front and drawn in gate 4 it looks as though it will get it all its own way. Peta Edwards likely to pull the trigger at the 600 and get him rolling. Hard to run down. REBELLIONAIRE has promised the world and delivered a secondhand used atlas. He should be winning this race but we’ve said that plenty of times. VITAL ASSET was a better run last start and should get it soft. HOLD MY HELMET can improve. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – KWIKON THE TRIGGER WIN Race 5 HOT STYLE was flat first-up. Probably looking for further again but willing to forgive him for the flop and butter up with him on top. KINTAIL was desperately unlucky last start and deserves to break through. SILVER CLOUD THREE won well last start and has had a great preparation. FRENCH ESCAPE could run a cheeky race without surprising. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – HOT STYLE WIN Race 6 ABU DHABI has contested the Fitzpatrick Plate and the Batavia Sprint since a big run first-up in the State. 1100m short of his best distance but if Bennett can find the front he’ll take catching. WOOMERA was absolutely belting them on the dirt before suffering an injury set back. If Beeps Patterson can get him to reproduce his dirt runs then they’re fighting out second. BLACK DYNAMITE fresh can charge late. TRADEMARK is normally there abouts. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – ABU DHABI WIN Race 7 DYNAMITE JACK is a little suspect at the trip but his last two runs have been excellent. If he can get any luck from the gate should go close again. FEARHILDI is a bit of a one trick pony, needs to sit in the first couple to be any hope but should get there in this. STELLINA continues to savage the line but may be back in traffic. BIG SHOT PADDY was very plain first-up. Better than that. Numbers: 5 – 10 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – DYNAMITE JACK EACHWAY Race 8 ON THE TURPS seems to thrive on the Geraldton surface. Both runs since arriving have been huge and there is no reason why he can’t win again. JUPITER RISING down in weight and up in class should get it soft and is a lazy type who may be suited to the Autier style. CRANKY DANCER can never be discounted in these races. TRADE TALK will be storming late from well off them. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – ON THE TURPS WIN Race 9 DASHING IMAGE has been going from strength to strength and looks to have a genuine shot at making it a picket fence. Should sit 1×1 or 1×2 and looks very hard to beat (again). HOT STAR has really hit form but will need to be a big run from the gate. DIAMOND JOLSON should work across for the 4kg claimer and nearly lead them up. FULLY STOKED can improve off his last start 4th. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – DASHING IMAGE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,3 2,3,4,5,7,10 8 1,2,7 Market Market
