Scott Embry’s Tuesday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 4, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SHE’S READYTOREIGN loomed as the winner last start in a very moderate maiden. This is arguably weaker and with natural improvement she looks the one to beat. OSIPOVA has been disappointing all campaign. If she is allowed to cross she can improve. ALWAYS EASY is not the worst in the field and could be a big price. POPPIES is consistent. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – SHE’S READYTOREIGN WIN Race 2 FORTUNE MAKER has been the target of strong support first-up and second-up when racing quite flat on both occasions. Steps out to a mile for the first time this preparation and that is a much more suitable distance. Kyra Yuill riding winners for fun at the minute. YUKON GOLD brings picnic form but could give cheek in front. BACK IN A MINUTE was good first-up. FLAMING GALAH can show a turn of foot with a soft run in. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – FORTUNE MAKER WIN Race 3 BAY PUBLISHER was a strong winner first-up and then couldn’t reel in early favourite for Gero horse of the year Flying Roar second-up. He positions up midfield with cover and is always in the money. DASHING IMAGE shot through the grades last campaign. Trial was fair only but should get every chance. JUPITER RISING has come back to racing well and should win plenty of stake money in 70+ grade on the minimum this prep. TRADE TALK might find them a bit sharp first-up but is the most talented horse. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – BAY PUBLISHER WIN Race 4 MASTER SPLINTER was a bit of a revelation last campaign when joining the stables of Graeme Hammarquist. 7 starts at Gero for 4 wins and from the gate can either lead or box seat and gets every chance. QUALITY FAIR resumed well and draws soft. FULLY STOKED is a natural back marker who will often struggle at Gero but has ability. ROYAL PLANET is racing below her best. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – MASTER SPLINTER WIN Race 5 MIDNIGHT ROCKET was brilliant in a recent trial holding talented stablemate Dashing Image with ease. His two runs for Grant and Alana Williams were both as a late 2 year old on rain affected tracks. He could be one to go straight through the grades. SPOOKWOOD was stiff not to win first-up when held up at crucial stages. Wins one very soon but may have run into a handy animal here. ENTERPRISE trialed well at Lark Hill and may sneak under the radar. WRITTEN LAW trialed without shades. Showed ability with the Gangemi stable. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 12 – 5 Suggested Bet – MIDNIGHT ROCKET WIN Race 6 FEARHILDI can be very hard to run down when finding the front. First-up, no trial and draws to find the fence. Renee Forrest rides her well and they could skip away on the corner and run a big race. CAN HE HUSSEL put the writing on the wall first-up and duly saluted second-up. Hard to hold out again. BALMONTGOMERY ran very well first-up and his Carnarvon wins were super. WORLD IS YOURS was plain first-up when a massive drifter in the market. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – FEARHILDI EACHWAY Race 7 KNUCKLE DOWN has hit form after a long injury enforced layoff. Michelle Valentine has done a super job to just get him back to the track, let alone winning races. Draws awkwardly but comes across from the wide alley. FAIR EUGENIE was unbelievably good first-up. If she can reproduce that she’ll simply win. RIBBON OF GOLD is a nice ride for 4kg claimer Tyla Conway. COOL SERENITY should be winning races this campaign in Gero. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – KNUCKLE DOWN WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2 4 1,2,3,5 1,3,4,7,8,9 Market Market
