Should keep improving, proved that he got around the tight Narrogin circuit and should get every favour from the ideal draw. Great race for him to break through. COMMANDING OFFFICER backs up off 8 days from last Wednesday at Ascot. Previous form in these maiden handicaps at York/Narrogin were excellent. OUR GIRL BORAM is quick and can cross. LUMINARIES needs further. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – PACIFIC BOXER WIN RACE 2 ASARKA was targeted in betting last week in a staying maiden at Pinjarra. He didn’t win the race but it was clearly smart money. He was $21 into $8 and loomed into the race on straightening before fighting back under pressure in the last 100m. Backs up off 7 days (again), returns to the 1900m and maiden handicap conditions. 61kg an ask but ready to win. STELLA CAMPANIA was beaten almost 5L last start behind Perfect Bubbles and Kisses From Kelly but she never gave up the chase. Raced like 1900m would suit. PLAINLY SPOKEN is better than the two runs he has produced this time in. ROCKABYE BONNY ran really well last start. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – ASARKA WIN RACE 3 FLOAT OUR BOAT was $26 into $13 at his Ike Racing debut when finishing third behind Magic Whistle and Rebel Man. Couldn’t back it up last start and was beaten a fair way but behind Duchees Demerit and Fear The Wind (as well as Feels Danish who races Tuesday at Ascot). Like this as a race choice and love the fact Alan Kennedy is booked to ride. LAUTRE races on Tuesday at Ascot. If he backs up off 48 hours to Narrogin from a m54+ to a c52+ he’ll have followers. SCREAM IN BLUE comes out of the Albany Cup. This is lengths easier. Nice placement. SMOKING BARREL found his race last start and won well. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – FLOAT OUR BOAT WIN RACE 4 DANUBE RIVER is being well placed by Bruce Watkins. She has won a maiden and then won back to back 46+ ratings races in the outer provincial area. She has to rise sharply into a C5 but she gets a senior rider back aboard and Narrogin is a horses for courses surface. No reason not to stick with her. AZENA was a shade disappointing last start. Lobbed a lovely position but couldn’t go with them when the sprint went on. TIFF’S LAD is still looking for further than the 1190m but this is winnable and Alan Kennedy no doubt would have had the choice with Azena and Tiff’s Lad. MINI WINNIE an improver. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – DANUBE RIVER WIN RACE 5 DUSTYPARK had his first start in 647 days for Team Farrell when finishing second behind Universal Flair and then was far from disgraced when only 4L off Deep Envy (subsequent Saturday 3 year old winner) and Givemeonereason. Nice race for him with even luck. PRANCING IN MILAN looked really well suited into one of these 46+ races last start and didn’t let her followers down. Considering her racing pattern and style would have thought 1300m was as short as she wanted. Interesting to see how she goes back to 1190? MASTER BUDDHA and RAKIURA both have the speed to get across from their wide gates and sit up over the pace. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – DUSTYPARK EACHWAY RACE 6 GOLDEN BONNY finished off well into second behind track specialist Im Not For Sale last start at York. Gets out to an even more suitable trip, drops back in grade from a 52+ into a 46+ and is drawn to get the run of the race. Most suitable assignment she has seen in a long while. ADELANTE is a lightly raced filly who looks to be improving with both racing and distance. Got the job done in a 1500m maiden handicap at York last start and the way she raced think the extra 220m won’t pose any issue. IMA SLY FOX is good on his day and bad on others. Hard horse to back and/or follow. GIN N SWANIC can stay and on the fresh side could surprise a few of these. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – GOLDEN BONNY WIN RACE 7 STRAWBERRY MIST has been a lovely little money spinner for her connections and followers in the last few weeks. She’s won back to back 46+ races and that’s without even going straight! She has her head screwed to one side but once she winds up and builds a head of steam she really attacks the line. SO SCHMICK is one who definitely goes into the Quaddie. His last win was a Narrogin Cup over 1900m and since then he’s dropped from a c80 to a c57 rater. Only 3L off National Guard last start in a 60+ Graduation in town. This is a good race for him. JOLLY LACE backs up from last Saturday and is better suited here. Does rise 10kg though! FAMILY CONNECTION is knocking on the door. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – STRAWBERRY MIST WIN RACE 8 IZZY MAY is always there abouts in this grade. She has been placed to perfection by Jade Tangaroa in the last few seasons. Remarkably she has won 2x 46+, a C3 and a c52+ and yet still remains only a c62 rater. Consistent little mare. NORICH won a 46+ at York and a 52+ at York back in April/May 2022. Since then he has exclusively raced in town in handicaps and in the inner provincial class races. Keep safe right back in grade. RHAPSODY STAR has won well at her two starts back. RISING COMMODITY enjoyed the downhill finish last start at York and really savaged the line. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – IZZY MAY WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,3,4,5,7 3,5,7 2,5 1,2,5,8,9 Market Market
