She drew barrier 1 of 11, ended up three back the fence and then raced extremely greenly at stages. Considering how much he did wrong in the run thought he did a reasonable job to finish off into fifth behind stablemate Under Influence. Second start swaps a claiming apprentice for W.Pike and strikes a small field. FASHION STAKES has only seen a few maidens in her life and she’s gone close on every occasion. Shouldn’t be a maiden much longer and hard to ignore her soft trial. MANGANUI found the 1000m straight too sharp on debut. Better suited over 1200. IMPERIALIZE like many of Brett Popes has trialled well. Think there’s a change of luck about to present for the stable. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – PLAY WITH DESIRE WIN RACE 2 LIFE OF BRIAN was really popular with punters on debut off the back of two slick trials, one from the rear of the field and one from the front of the field. He attempted to buck on debut and was sent back to trials. Blinkers come off and his trial was just as good again. Think he’s a nice horse and we’ll follow up with him. From the inside gate he can kick through to try and lead or more likely sit on the back of Cheddar Bob. CHEDDAR BOB can take up the running and gives a kick on straightening. STREET MASCHINO trialled super beating up on Hoba West. Keep safe. SNAZZLER an improver round the bend. Handy to pick up William Pike. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – LIFE OF BRIAN WIN RACE 3 FALCON TRADER may well get out over further in time and 1200m is probably as short as he wants, but loved his trial win and like his form from when last in work. He was forced to cover additional ground at stages in both career outings from tricky gates and yet still ran well enough behind some handy types. The Gages Roads race contained The Big One and Eee Pee Cee and Bleecker Street went from his maiden win to finish only 1.8L off Feels Playful, Laquetta’s Gift and Saloon Bar at his next outing. TRIBAL RULER was scratched from Tuesday at Ascot to save for Wednesday at Pinjarra. Looks a smart move. DUCHESS OF GOSSIP is green and wayward but looks to have a motor. SOVEREIGN MINX wasn’t beaten far in the Falcon Trader trial. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 11 – 6 Suggested Bet – FALCON TRADER WIN RACE 4 MY BABY BLUE JEAN, PINK CARATS and TO RISE AGAIN will be the three horses in the market and the best part about this race is that all three of them are Pinjarra Straight 1000m winners. Going to side up with MY BABY BLUE JEAN who can take full advantage of the outside fence and hug the rail. She’s 39 days between runs and having her first start for the new stable. Last few meetings the straight 1000 winners have been Kamarshall, Go Go Grommet, Kipitaki, Prince Amongst Men and Magnum Class. All hard outside fence. TO RISE AGAIN has been going well all preparation without winning one. PINK CARATS has his first start for JP Taylor Racing. ‘Wrong’ side hurts, small field helps. GRATED COCONUT an unknown element. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – MY BABY BLUE JEAN WIN RACE 5 SASSY SKYE has had two starts, splitting Manhattan Strip and Kisses From Kelly at odds on debut and then going down in the final stride last Thursday at the hands of She’s Imminent. Backs up, rolls to the top (or parks over the speed) and looks mighty close to breaking through. RYEWOOD was a tough watch at Geraldton. Looked fairly obvious on paper and was understandably popular in betting ($2.10 into $1.70) and never got clear at any stage in the straight. Clear danger and popular quinella. SUPER ROMANI has shades on. Think he might still need further but expect him to go well. BEATS OF WAR has a senior on. Hopefully that helps him settle. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – SASSY SKYE WIN RACE 6 NOD AND SMILE had his first start for Summer Dickson when resuming without a trial over 1300m. He settled a long way from them in a leader dominated affair and finished off brilliantly down the centre to nab third on the post. Shades go on, immediately gets out to a mile and has gate speed to hold a position in running (lead them on debut over 1100m). Reproduces the turn of foot from closer in running and is hard to hold out. MANITOBA doesn’t look like he stays. Think that coming back to a mile is a big tick. OLAJUWON ran a ripper fresh at any old odds. Not convinced on that as a form reference. PLAYING ON THE ROX ran well last start behind Devil Girl. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 6 – 13 Suggested Bet – NOD AND SMILE WIN RACE 7 CENTRAL FORCE gets back into a C1 here and should be peaking third-up. He was fair fresh behind Pazzo Cavallo when he looked slightly reluctant to go between horses and into a tight gap when finishing fifth. Went to a C3 last Wednesday and finished less than a length off Sesswa in a driving finish. They rolled along throughout in that event and it should see him hard to beat on the back-up and coming back in grade. Interesting to note that William Pike hasn’t been booked but reading into it that they wanted weight off his back. FAT ROY SLIM has been huge in each of his runs for William Lewthwaite. Finally drawn a gate to get a half decent run in transit. DEVIL GIRL has come back better this time in and can roll forward. ACE COMMAND was much better last start and Ultimate Command has since franked the form. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – CENTRAL FORCE WIN RACE 8 WHAT A PRINCE absorbed a lot of pressure first-up from Estimator in a race where the two leaders cut at each other and ultimately brought each other undone. Improved sharply second-up when allowed to dictate terms to them from the top and looks to get similar circumstances here. Scratched Tuesday to save for Wednesday. Looks the one they’ll all need to run down. ZOUDINI is a hard horse to follow. Seems to find traffic if it’s there to be found. EVIDENCE is drawn awkwardly but does do her best racing at Pinjarra. Not horrible last start behind Mack Mack. WESTERN IMPACT won well at Narrogin. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – WHAT A PRINCE WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 9,10 5,6,7,13,14 1,2,3,5,6 2 Market Market
