Scott Embry’s Thursday Albany Preview Posted on April 1, 2020April 1, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 TAKE ME HOME HONEY is a query back to 1600m but she has been in super consistent form all campaign and deserves to break through. This is the easiest assignment she has seen all preparation and expecting Kyra Yuill to look for the front. She’ll take running down. WHOS A PRETTY GAL can run second after a better performance last start. KEBALAH has had 47 chances but Beaux Edwards is in white hot form. SUDDNLEY NOBLE next best. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – TAKE ME HOME HONEY WIN RACE 2 BLONDE WARRIOR has her first start for a new stable and she showed more than enough ability in her first campaign. On debut ran fourth behind Cuballing, London Miss and River Beau. If she just reproduces that run she’ll be awfully hard to beat. DON’T OVERTAKE has put together two excellent runs and should break her maiden before season’s end. MOAMA ROSE is taken down to Albany by Darren McAuliffe and she has always looked like winning races. MORGAN LE FAYE a mad one for novelty players. Numbers: 10 – 7 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – BLONDE WARRIOR WIN RACE 3 Wolfe pair TRIGGERFISH and DEANGLES look to have this race at their mercy. TRIGGERFISH was fresh at Pinjarra 42 days between runs and went close behind Lock Her In and Proconscent. If he can reproduce that run he’ll take beating here. DEANGLES has been a model of consistency all throughout the campaign. Nothing to suggest he won’t finish top 2 here. THE REAL SEPOY is mixing form but has enough ability. BOOTLEG RASCAL is looking for an easier race and finds it here. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – TRIGGERFISH WIN RACE 4 MIRCALE MAN is very well placed into a c70+ race at 1500m. There are a number of horses in this field who are either a massive query at the trip or are coming to the end of their long and fruitful racing careers. Miracle Man was beaten less than 4L first-up behind Festival Miss, Sophie’s Song and Cryptic Love. That’s great form for a race like this. RUN LIAM RUN is racing very well and desperately looking for a swan song victory. REALISE POTENTIAL was ridden to perfection last start and won well. OUR BUDDY BOY leads and gets it cheap. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – MIRACLE MAN WIN RACE 5 DANEHILL STORM might have finally found his race! Has run second at his last four runs and again draws a tough gate with a big weight but he should be able to find the breeze (again) and from there he should look the winner down the straight (again). Fingers crossed off the 6 day back-up he can get the job done. DYNAMITE BAY has just tapered off a little in terms of best form but on the fresh side 40 days between runs has to be kept safe. LADY NOBEL has done nothing wrong in her short career. ANGELIQUE’S FAME comes out running from an awkward gate. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – DANEHILL STORM WIN RACE 6 WAR KSAR ran fourth in the Albany Cup only three starts ago, won well here two starts ago when beating talented stablemate Mass Effect and Corporate Larrikin and last start was nosed out in a driving finish of the Great Southern Cup. Drops back in grade here and has to lump 63kg as a result but looks so well placed. DEEL RED races on the speed and can be hard to catch. GLEN ALBYN is flying for Ray Malpass and after the claim has a big weight pull on the top weight. TORU WAIMARIE is always a knockout hope. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – WAR KSAR WIN RACE 7 DOC FRIAR is a progressive staying mare who was able to grind out a strong win last start. The race overall rated around 6L above benchmark for the grade and that is a good indication that she’ll take beating again here. YOU AM I drops in grade and while he is a query at the trip Victoria Corver’s claim brings him right into calculations. MR PAGO is never far from the action and can never be discounted. CLEO’S AFTERPARTY won well last start. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – DOC FRIAR WIN RACE 8 WILLOW RIVER has run second and third at her last two starts and both of those have been around a month between runs (28 days & 29 days). Spacing seems to be working very well and the form behind Tranquilla Sunrise, Luke’s Gold and Scotty Too Hotty speaks for itself. Very hard to hold out. FOXY PRINCESS and FOXY ROYALE are both going particularly well and will take beating from the draws. MOLLY TWOHUNDRED has won tougher races than this and looks well placed. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – WILLOW RIVER WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,3 1,2,5,7,9 1,2,9 1,3,4,5,7 Market Market
