He then drew awkwardly, settled rearwards and was winding up nicely late behind Red Rebel last start. Think he’s looking for a mile. SABBATICAL SILK was specked at odds in that same race and was a much improved effort. ALL FUN has a set of winkers going on. Hasn’t had much luck in her last two when held up at crucial stages. Think she’s got some ability. IFFUBLUSH has been to the races twice and has gone around shot twice. Yet to really flatter. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – SCENERY WIN RACE 2 SANTA BRAE gets one more chance with the blinkers going on. He finished second to First Encounter (impressive subsequent 60+ Graduation winner) and then looked to have found an ideal race last start when going around a well supported $1.80 favourite. He was niggled at from the 600 to get past the leader and then was no match for Prince I Think. He looked to come again on the line so hopefully the shades switch him on. BERGAMO raced like she was screaming out for a mile last start. Clearly a better filly with cover and looks a big danger here. MASTER OF CEREMONY was thrown in the deep end last start into a 3 year old race that contained Raconteur trio Arid, Upper Limits and Read Admiral. Keep safe. ME KE ANO was a big improver last start. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – SANTA BRAE WIN RACE 3 BOAB BOY comes through the Stevie’s May/Chipolartie/Teabiscuit race which has already held up as a form reference. That 1000m scamper was run 3.5L faster than maiden average so no surprise to see it holding up and now that Boab Boy goes from drawn 1 to 12 he looks a big improver here. OUTFIELD has been down the 1000m straight twice and drew on the ‘wrong’ side on both occasions. He’s another who is drawn to get the right run. ENCHANTING ANGEL demands respect from Lou Luciani’s powerful yard with William Pike aboard. Hard to line up off a 400m jump out. LOST GRAVITY has shown ability at trials. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 12 – 6 Suggested Bet – BOAB BOY WIN RACE 4 GOOD SONG was in front for a long way last start after leading at 1400m. Comes back 100m, Shaun McGruddy jumps aboard and if the form through Scenery or Sabbatical Silk holds up in the opening event then he’s worth an eachway ticket. WICKED COOL comes through the Stevie’s May/Chipolartie/Teabiscuit/Boab Boy race and we similarly get a sighter into that form again in Race 3. GREAT DEMON trialled like a horse who would appreciate stepping out on debut over at least 1300m. Wary that the impressive winner of that trial Vinginda didn’t fire a shot on debut. SECRET ATTRACTION looks like she needs every inch of this trip. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 7 – 14 Suggested Bet – GOOD SONG EACHWAY RACE 5 FALCON TRADER faces a field of only 6 opponents after the early scratchings of Final Authority and Lucky’s Way between Wednesday and Sunday. They were actually on the second and third line of betting so he’s probbaly going to end up pretty short in the wash-up. Expecting him to find the front, roll them along and then skip clear to make it three from three this time in. Like him as a type. ZOUBOLTZ has less horses to navigate and goes far better with cover anyway. TWICE A FORTNIGHT will settle rearwards and concede them a big head start. UNDER INFLUENCE has ability. Query that his only attempt on a Soft6 he looked to spin the wheels. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – FALCON TRADER WIN RACE 6 TRIPLE JAY was $1.90 in betting on Wednesday when the races were postponed and rescheduled. From then this race loses Nyet (second favourite) and Winning Aces (fourth elect) so again like Falcon Trader he’s going to end up pretty short after the scratchings. Impressive first-up winner over a subsequent winner in Uncle Gerard and then was dictated back to the cutaway last start which was clearly inferior ground. LUCKY LANDING comes back from Westspeed Platinum races and hasn’t had much luck recently. KICK A GOAL SON is really well placed back into a C3 and trialled up nicely. DAZZLING DANE was a quiet trial for the new yard. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – TRIPLE JAY WIN RACE 7 ESTIMATOR finished second to Falcon Trader (goes around short in Race 5) last start in a race where they went 3.5L faster than C1 average. In that event he beat home Land Of Fire and Pennie’s Galore. Awkward draw with speed drawn underneath him but if he gets across into a half decent position he should go well. PENNIES GALORE was a quiet trial and a really encouraging return to racing. Hard to miss her in the replay late and through the line. HUXTON CREEPER was a great run at his Vaughn Sigley debut. Could have finished much closer. LAND OF FIRE is as honest and consistent as they come. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 10 – 2 Suggested Bet – ESTIMATOR WIN RACE 8 NO PEER hasn’t had any luck since returning. She struck a ridiculously slowly run race at Northam first-up when over-racing three back the fence and unable to get into it at any stage. Then second-up she struck an equally slowly run race which was dominated from the top (first two in running ran first and second). Thought she did a great job to get home into third. AMJAAD is accepted in the Raconteur Stakes at Belmont on Saturday. If they scratch and elect to race here in a C3 she’ll be very popular. Huge run first-up, back in grade, shades on, lots to like. AZENA gets some weight relief. She’s better than she’s currently showing. SHE’S PUZZLING improves second-up. Numbers: 10 – 3 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – NO PEER WIN RACE 9 MY BOY EDDY likely opens an eachway quote and provided they can make ground on Sunday then he looks a live hope in an even race. He’s had 16 starts in his life and in that time he’s only been to a maiden once (won), a C1 once (won) and a C3 once (held up the entire length of the home straight). He’s got ability, just needs a half decent back to follow. SISU WARRIOR was hammered in betting last start and was unable to get past Nunes (races Saturday). He’ll get every favour again, has shades applied and will likely be hammered in betting again. WHAT A PRINCE won this track/distance/grade two starts ago on a Soft7. Could well get identical track conditions if the heavens open as forecast. TIN CHOOKS was some sort of maiden win. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – MY BOY EDDY EACHWAY RACE 10 CAPTAIN SHARMANE finished third behind Keep Attacking in the Pinjarra Heat of the Sky Racing Provincial Series and then finished off well into fourth (without much luck) behind Abloh. That race has already produced Civvy Street to victory and think she’s better suited back at 1200m than she was in the Final at 1400m. Pike sticks and we’ll trust him to find a spot from a tricky draw. SIR SNUGALOT is rising 10 but he’s still got some serious zip in those veteran legs. In front for a long way. JAG THE JOKER gets the run she needs. BLOW ME OUT travelled up into the corner but didn’t let down at all last start. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – CAPTAIN SHARMANE WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 1,4,10 (3),4,5,10 1,2,5,6,7 2,3,4,5,6 Market Market
