Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on June 29, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 CASINO BELLE backs up from an even effort last weekend and falls into a race where he maps to lead, and lead comfortably. If he gets it cheap in front should give a big kick. BY DECREE is prominent city trainer and export drinker Darren McAuliffe’s only runner for the day and his team are flying, especially when Pateman sits on. RIKKI TIKKI TAVI is as consistent as they come and will appreciate the rise to 1300m. TAHGEO JAY will improve into the preparation and as they stretch him out. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – CASINO BELLE WIN Race 2 HILLBERT joins the ever growing team at Cambana Lodge and his rabble of new owners will be looking to get the chocolates at his first start in the lucky ‘Pyms’ silks. Blinkers on usually equals money on. Expect if he gets rolled that Glenn Smith goes on next start. COOLGARDIE AL should get it his own way in front for team Warwick. Gets his chance. PREMIO MOMENTO is only going at the minute but the step up in trip should suit. BANTRY transfers from one of Australia’s best in Chris Waller to a battling but bullish Jayden Thomas. Watch for him as they stretch him out in distance, strong whisperings from the region. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – HILLBERT WIN Race 3 MERVYN drops back to the 1100m and doesn’t run into up and coming stable star Pym’s Royale today. Expect Smith to have a significant lead into the straight and do enough to fend off all challengers. FOXY ROYALE will be beneficiary of a breakneck speed in front and will be closing in strongly late. PEARL OF THE PLAIN will look to replicate the efforts of Bos Taurus two starts ago and stalk Mervyn’s every move. CODE VIOLATION is always thereabouts but might be run off his feet. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – MERVYN WIN Race 4 PASTRY showed an abundance of natural speed in a recent Lark Hill trial and her only race start to date she was afforded no favours when wide throughout. Looks to have enough talent to take out a race like this. ASTROPHOBIA showed promise in a barrier trial before what on face value looked a disappointing effort at his first race start. Can be forgiven for that and ridden quiet from the sticky draw could see him improve. SMARTRAVELLA was eye catching in her most recent run and a repeat sees her very competitive. RUNS TO PARADISE is capable on her day but has had plenty of chances. Numbers: 10 – 3 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – PASTRY WIN Race 5 INDRIEL has endured hard run after hard run this preparation. Won’t know herself if she get it soft and historically improves lengths when Lucy Warwick jumps aboard. Worth an eachway ticket at double figures. I’M SLATS was a dominant winner of a moderate maiden last time out and maps to get the perfect run here. ALL SQUARE likely jumps almost odds on but hasn’t been seen at the races for over a month and loses regular rider Glenn Smith, risky. NAZARETH is hard to catch but Glenn Smith sticks in a race where he would have had other options. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – INDRIEL EACHWAY Race 6 BEVEL got too far back in his most recent outing and charged through the field to hit the line strongly. Can settle much closer today from the good gate and looks a strong winning chance. IT’S DYNAMITE copped a competitive and aggressive bump coming around the bend last start and that might very well have been the difference between winning and losing. Hard to imagine Pateman being out ridden again here. CHHAYA deserved to win one and Brodie Kirby was the difference. Has every chance to go back to back here. DECOY NOXOUS did enough first-up to suggest he’s worth following this preparation. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – BEVEL WIN Race 7 SONG OF WAR raced wide throughout at his most recent and battled on gallantly. There is a chance he could find the front in this race and that makes him hard to beat. NOBEL SUSPECT was a maiden winner 2 starts back and followed that up with a brave on speed effort here 7 days ago. Looks to be progressing nicely for little Luke Fernies. NOIR DE RUE was backed confidently at Northam last start and probably ended up in the worst part of the track. Forgive that. SUPERFINE didn’t have a clear passage here last weekend and previous effort was strong. Throw him in your quaddie. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – SONG OF WAR WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,4,6,10 2,3,4,8 1,2,4,7 2,4,5,8 Bet Now
