Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on July 9, 2021July 9, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 WORLD RULER has not been seen for 42 days and transfers from Nick Abrey to Nick Carapellotti (same person #midlifecrisis) who takes the shades off and engages a senior rider in Brad Rawiller. Last start was sent to the top and took One For The Road the entire length of the straight to run down with subsequent winner Jolly Lace back in third. Another great chance. MANY MANSIONS found the front last Sunday and was a sharp improver when almost pinching it. Backs up and again hard to beat. ILZAAM is no star but is racing consistently for the new yard. REDHEAD RITCHIE ran a ripper two starts ago. Reproduces that run and can figure. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – WORLD RULER WIN RACE 2 CUBAN TWIST returns to the KBRC where she went through the grades rapidly when last in work. Second in a 60+ behind Tri For Us (subsequent place getter in the Belmont Guineas and Belmont Oaks) and second behind True Attraction (in front of subsequent winner Tredem In). Looks stand out form for this and after the 3kg claim for Jett Stanley she’s very well weighted. MAJOR MAMBO goes 10L better for Pateman than any other hoop. His engagement is key to his chances. PINK AND PURPLE is bursting to win a race and looks like pinching a few staying races this campaign. MAGIC WILL REIGN hasn’t had much luck this preparation. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – CUBAN TWIST WIN RACE 3 HEAR ME makes his WA debut having run three minor placings on the East Coast including a narrow third at $2.25 in a Sale maiden. May need further than this but always keep safe the newcomers from the yard of MR Peter Fernie because he can produce them fresh for a peak performance. STAR PRESENT has looked the good s at trials in both campaigns. Recent trial form through Springsure Lad held up at Pinjarra during the week and Brock Lewthwaite travels his horses to great effect. LACIEON joins the Cambana Lodge team and should be breaking through sooner rather than later. LITTLE SES likewise brings metro and provincial form to the country. Numbers: 1 – 11 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – HEAR ME WIN RACE 4 MANHATTAN MONEY didn’t fire a shot at the start of the season when produced first-up no trial and beaten 4L in a moderate display. Given 56 days between runs and a trial and then was back to her brilliant best when scoring a n impressive victory second-up. Has to carry the weight but is a winner with 60.5kg previously and with the services of Chris Parnham looks hard to hold out. LITTLE HERCULES always gets under the radar and always runs better than the market expects. Has been a wonderful bread and butter horse for Trent and Rickie Brown. PEARLS NAD PRAWNS has form in much stronger company than what she meets here and has always been a mare who can produce fresh. Keep safe. SHARPBOB backs up and drops 4.5kg in weight. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – MANHATTAN MONEY WIN RACE 5 SOLARIZE was well thought of 7 days ago in a 1400m and looks far better suited here coming back to 1300. The overall race time from the effort 7 days ago was electric (4.5L faster than 58+ average) so it really should measure up as a form reference. Quick back-up, back in trip and the form around Balladeer, Sharpbob and Sunsphere should see him right in the thick of it late. WESTERN RHYTHM is trying to get a start in whichever race she can and regardless of which race she lands in she’ll be measuring up. DALSWINTON looks ready to win and on the 7 days from the inside draw gets his chance. BLACK COMET resumes and can sprint well fresh. Numbers: 6 – 11 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – SOLARIZE WIN RACE 6 SWEET STRAWBERRY jumps off the page as wonderful placement by Brock Lewthwaite. First-up last cmapgin when resuming first-up no trial at 1200m in a C3 off 172 days was victorious over La Farola, Born to Try, Our Danni and Belle of Liberty in a high rating affair. Only two starts later ran second in a 60+ in town to Universal Pleasure and then found bad luck for the remainder of the preparation. 62kg a big impost but she is the class runner with the right draw. VIOLATION makes her WA debut and has shown an abundance of early pace in many of her races on the East Coast. If she crosses she’ll be hard to catch. BRIGHT GLOW ran well first-up in a race which has held up (Johnny Angel in Town, Jakestar last Sunday). CHAMPANGE DIVA is better than what she produced fresh. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – SWEET STRAWBERRY WIN RACE 7 REGAL DIVIDEND was much better in her parade last week and has seemingly settled in perfectly to the Kalgoorlie way of life. Went down narrowly to Jakestar and on the quick back up finds a race where she can lead and dictate. 1400m looks her sweet spot, winkers added to race gear and Jade McNaught should find the top. Only career win was off 7 days when leading and gets those exact conditions here. Hers to lose. LUCY DA GREY finds a new home with Helen Harding and should get the run of the race leader’s back. BLACKWOOD RIVER hasn’t fired a shot yet but is better than that. PYRO ran out of his skin last week and showed the maiden win was no fluke. Numbers: 10 – 5 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet – REGAL DIVIDEND WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,5,7,8 2,3,5,6,9,10,11 1,5,7 5,10 Market Market
