Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on September 7, 2018September 7, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 COSMIC EYES has annihilated rivals at both Kalgoorlie runs. Fair to say we won’t see the luxurious $3 quote again but this field is no stronger and could be a jump, lead, how far job. HUMANITY hit the line hard behind Cosmic Eyes but was still in another postcode to the winner. CAN HE RULE HER looked impossible at the 200m mark when saluting at cricket score odds on debut. It was a ride of patience and style. SPLASH hasn’t set the world on fire since arriving in the Goldifelds but can improve. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – COSMIC EYES WIN Race 2 MOSCHARD caught the eye when flooding home from the rear in a Saturday metro maiden. Is likely to be back in traffic again here but if Kirby can find a clear path he looks the one to beat. POLITE PASS was flushed wide at the 600m mark and forced to sustain a long wide run. If she can get a cart into the race then can win. NORTH COL has improved with each run under his belt and his trainer returns from New York to see his best maiden go round. LET ME PASS went under at an unappetizing quote and meets tougher opposition here. Numbers: 2 – 12 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – MOSHCARD WIN Race 3 NASHVILLE CAT is sure to be short but expect Pike will utilize the inside draw to sit just behind the speed and find a run only the wizard can up the rails. On recent form anything in the black is good shopping. CHHAYA was held up at a critical stage last start. Beeps Kirby is reunited with the mare and they have an exceptional strike rate together. OMERTA was caught wide throughout in a gallant effort last start. PARTYBUS has strung together two impressive performances. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – NASHVILLE CAT WIN Race 4 DISCO METAL was almost knocked over in running at her Durrant debut and was then underwhelming when backed up off 10 days. Her best is fresh and 50 days between runs here looks her best chance yet to break a 2 year winning drought. INDRIEL improves lengths when Lucy Warwick jumps aboard and finds the fence here. FOXY ROYALE is ultra consistent but rarely salutes. IT’S DYNAMITE is the class of the local runners and always has to be respected. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – DISCO METAL WIN Race 5 RED PUBLISHER makes the trip to Kalgoorlie for Lancelin trainer Ashley Maley and is a horse who might sneak under the radar here. Wasn’t suited first up at 1000m and then again at WFA level. Has won with 63kg and can sit right on speed in a suitable race. WHERE’S WALLY is undoubtedly talented but likely to land leader’s back and unless Batman can sneak inside another wobbling leader it looks like a traffic jam for him. OUTER DETENTION showed he is up to this grade last start. BONNY BE GOOD is worth following and will pick up a race soon. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 8 – 10 Suggested Bet – RED PUBLISHER WIN Race 6 GLORYLAND reunites with Simone Alteiri which is crucial to his winning chances. Last time she jumped aboard he improved nearly 40L in 7 days. Was big in this race last year and gets his own way in front. Worth a loyal 2×3. PUSHIN’ SHAPES looks to be hitting form at the right time and is a serious threat. Carried 54kg in this race in 2017 but has improved since then. MASTER MAGICIAN is first up in a Kalgoorlie Cups campaign. Liked his trial and he can go well fresh. FRIARESQUE is going very well without winning and is certainly capable. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – GLORYLAND EACHWAY Race 7 FOR THE FALLEN has only won 2 from 46 but has been around the mark all preparation and falls into a winnable race here. Should get the right run in transit for Jordan Turner and can break through for his third career victory. BOLLINGER BOY has been at the middle distance trips all preparation and probably racing below expectations. RONBOY goes better for the Frenchman than any other hoop. Expect him to lead. MISS MERIT needs cover. With the right run the mare can win. Numbers: 13 – 1 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – FOR THE FALLEN EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,5,6,7 2,7,8,10 1,2,4,5,8 1,7,8,10,13 Market Market
