Scott Embry’s Sunday Bunbury Preview Posted on December 20, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 WILD GALAH was backed heavily two starts ago when hitting the front coming round the corner and was only nabbed late in a reasonable form reference race. Not sure what happened last start, went poorly but can bounce back here. FIND THE GAP supporters were almost rewarded for faith last start when dropping back to a mile. Hard to beat. REGENT STAR and VICE MASTER have both run some reasonable races in their careers and can fight out the minors. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – WILD GALAH WIN Race 2 PURE MAGNUS was unable to reel in Olivia Knows last weekend at Bunbury on a day where the leaders were simply winning. Backs up off 7 days and steps up in trip. Looks mighty hard to toss. COSTA DEL SANTO has run forth at both runs to date and they have both been encouraging performances. RAGING ROCKET was the target of relentless support last start at Barker and someone burnt the rent money. Looks to have a maiden in him soon. LOCKLEAR could be an improver at odds. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – PURE MAGNUS WIN Race 3 EXPLOSION has promised to win a maiden for a long time and this race does look his for the taking. Ran a great race in the reasonably hot form race behind Gillespie and then was flooding home late last start in an unsuitable race. ZERO DEMERITS was in the same race and loomed as the winner. He is drawn awkwardly and likely does it tough. MIA STELLA was a sneaky run first-up and second-up got well out of its ground. Could be a player at odds. ZON ZOL keeps improving and wins one soon. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – EXPLOSION WIN Race 4 SCINTILLATING is a 14 start maiden but if you dig into his form he has run some very good races and run into some very nice types. Ran second to Action in a maiden and then bumped into Vital Silver one day when second. REGAL CHANT is probably looking for further but can sprint well fresh and trialed nice enough. LATITUDE HILL hugged the rail and finished off well in a recent trial. Races similarly here. ALL THAT LADY can run a race on debut from the gate. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – SCINTILLATING WIN Race 5 TIME TO HUNT should be getting the job done in this sort of race. Was fresh into his last run and was just grinding late. This race lacks even more depth and if he can’t win here he might not get us again. RAHEEBA LAS VEGAS did it tough last start but previous efforts were good enough. Can run a race at odds. SCORELINE has been out of form for a fair while but shades go on and drawn soft. HE’S A PARKER is better than he is currently showing. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – TIME TO HUNT WIN Race 6 LICKETY SPLIT ran a great race first-up in a Saturday Graduation race over an unsuitable trip. Then drew the car park second-up and was wide without cover the trip and faded badly. He should find the front here and can go close. BACHELORS PROSPECT has been out of the winner’s enclosure for a long time but always runs on late in his races. FRIARANDICE is in form but likely to be short for a horse who only just got home last start. DISCOVILLE can improve second-up drawn a gate. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – LICKETY SPLIT WIN Race 7 TYCOON MIKADO was sent straight to the front first-up and won well off the back of a good trial. Home track, drawn soft and can either lead them up again or get a lovely run just off them. Looks a nice type. CARRANYA LASS is back in trip and has the blinkers on for the first time. He should be the big danger. SAINT SALVADORE brings interesting Geraldton form. Trialed well enough recently to get a run out of him first start for the Lane stable. TEXAS MOON finally broke through last start but is drawn tough. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – TYCOON MIKADO WIN Race 8 ARSINOE is a 3 year old filly taking on the older horses over 2000m for the first time in her career but she does look a staying type in the making and may even be one of those Oaks types who doesn’t take the conventional features pathway. STAFFORD’S LAD ran a better race last start and goes for Glenn Smith. MASTER PEARL is a big, big animal who looks like he will stay. TALKING DANCER can be an improver. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – ARSINOE WIN Quaddie (Race 5– 8) 2 2,5,8 2,7 8 Market Market
