Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 20, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 MICHAEL JOSEPH (12) has won two of his last three starts and was an unlucky 3rd inbetween those wins. He has led throughout in both of those victories and starts from the backline tonight but has shown his versatility in the past. MCARDLES GEM (10) disappointed last start but is better suited by the soft draw he has here. MACHIATTO (4) should lead and give them something to catch but the 2130m journey tends to see him out. ONA HAPPY NOTE (1) has poor numerical form but can improve from the pole. Tips: 12 10 4 1 Suggested Bet: MICHAEL JOSEPH (12) to win. Race 2 LETS CUT LOOSE (2) showed plenty of ability in NSW but suffered an atrial fibrillation at his only start here. He has since won a recent Byford trial and should give a great sight from this draw. LORD WILLOUGHBY (10) raced extremely consistently last campaign and will be charging home if he has any luck from this draw. MON LILLIES (5) should be ready to fire after three runs back from a spell and has the gate speed to make things interesting early. ONEONTHEWOOD (1) has been placed at three of his last five starts and has the pole here. Tips: 2 10 5 1 Suggested Bet: LORD WILLOUGHBY (10) each way. Race 3 IM SOXY (11) has won three of his last five starts and was ultra-impressive in sitting outside Talktomeurmattjesty and beating that pacer a fortnight ago. He has a lovely trailing draw and should be in the finish. FIZZING (2) caught the eye with a fast-finishing 3rd in the Golden Nugget last week and must be respected from this draw. ARGYLE RED (3) has been racing in stronger fields and can win this with the right trip. OHOKA DARCY (1) has been placed at his last three starts and won’t be far away again. Tips: 11 2 3 1 Suggested Bet: IM SOXY (11) to win. Race 4 OUR MAX PHACTOR (6) has won 11 of his last 12 starts and there is no reason why he shouldn’t add to that record here. He begins smoothly from the tapes and has the handicap advantage over his main rivals. THE BUCKET LIST (9) is a classy customer with a nice turn of foot who can win the right cart into the race. ITZ BETTTOR TO WIN (8) is back to something like his best and will be competitive. IMPORTER EXPORTER (7) will be fitter for two runs back from a break and was a nice 2nd at Pinjarra last start. Tips: 6 9 8 7 Suggested Bet: OUR MAX PHACTOR (6) to win. Race 5 SAYING GRACE (2) couldn’t have been more impressive in facing the breeze and racing away to win his heat. He is drawn inside his main rivals and is now the one to beat. WALKINGSHAW (5) worked hard in the last lap but still proved too good in his heat and should be in the finish. THE ART FORM (7) led and was surprisingly beaten in his heat but is capable of bouncing back tonight. GOTTA GO GABBANA (9) faced the breeze when beating THE ART FORM (7) here last week but has a horror draw to overcome. Tips: 2 5 7 9 Suggested Bet: SAYING GRACE (2) to win. Race 6 BETTOR AIM (2) has won six of his ten career starts and was a gallant 5th in the Golden Nugget off a limited preparation. He will be fitter for that run and is perfectly drawn here. ROMAN AVIATOR (4) was first past the post here on Saturday night but lost the race on protest after causing interference and a similar performance should see him in the finish. SCOTLYNN BEACH (11) finds it hard to win but has been placed at four of his past five starts and shouldn’t be far away again. ONE OFF DELIGHT (3) was held up at a crucial stage but didn’t savage the line last week so has to be taken on trust. Tips: 2 4 11 3 Suggested Bet: BETTOR AIM (2) to win. Race 7 BRIGHT DIAMOND (8) had a lovely run and battled on well to finish 4th in the Golden Nugget and will appreciate the big drop in class tonight. BACK TO THE BEACH (2) was a strong last start 2nd at this track and will be hard to catch if he can find the front. JUST BET ON BLACK (6) returned to something like his best form when 2nd to Machiatto last start and can make his presence felt. THE ARSONIST (9) has been finishing his races off strongly, including a win here two starts back, and should be charging home late. Tips: 8 2 6 9 Suggested Bet: BRIGHT DIAMOND (8) to win. Race 8 BETTOR B ABELIEVER (2) worked hard and was then no match for Franco Edward in the run to line but battled on well to finish 2nd to that talented pacer. This looks easier and he should prove hard to beat. RUNAWAY THREE (1) worked hard when a solid 2nd here last week and the addition of a hood suggest he will be looking for an all-the-way victory. INNOCENT AFFAIR (5) is racing extremely consistently and has shown greater versatility recently. TAJIE BABY (11) battled on well at big odds last start and can be placed. Tips: 2 1 5 11 Suggested Bet: BETTOR B ABELIEVER (2) to win. Race 9 PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (1) has a losing sequence of 13 but she has been racing consistently. She has finished just behind the placegetters at her past two starts but is drawn perfectly here and gets her chance. INFINITE SYMBOL (6) couldn’t get into the race here last week but will appreciate the drop in class and should give a sight. MILEYS DESIRE (2) was a solid all-the-way winner last start and shouldn’t be far away from her draw. TALKERUP (3) is one to watch as she is now in the care of Tony Svilicich. Tips: 1 6 2 3 Suggested Bet: PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (1) to win. Race 10 BETTOR VISION (3) defeated Hasani before having the tables turned on him when 3rd to that pacer. This looks easier and he is clearly the one to beat. DOMINATE THE DOJO (6) didn’t have the best of luck at his return but ran well to finish 5th to The Arsonist and can make his presence felt tonight. NORTHERN EMPEROR (2) has been placed at big odds at his past three starts and can be in the money again. LOT TWENTY ONE (5) was fancied last week but didn’t have much luck and can improve tonight. Tips: 3 6 2 5 Suggested Bet: BETTOR VISION (3) to win. Market Market
