Scott Embry’s Saturday Roebourne Preview Posted on June 26, 2025June 26, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 SIMPLY ROSSO has had a great campaign winning three of his last four including another all the way win last weekend at Port Hedland in a 56+ 1200. He now drops 3.5kg going up in grade and in a Win-Only field of 4 looks to lead and win again. COMPAK can sit just behind him and continues to find the line well. PROTECTED ACTION will likely end up leader’s back following Simply Rosso’s every move. JACKEMJAMES is a shade of his former self and horribly out of form. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – SIMPLY ROSSO WIN RACE 2 ZADAR ROCK finds a 68+ 1813 and after the 4kg claim for Bailey Webster drops a whopping 9kg on last weekend’s weight carrying performance when finishing third to Blazing Tycoon and Mercian Hymn with a whopping 63.5kg on his back. He’s on the 7 day back-up, he’s out to an even more suitable distance and given current form of rivals he really just needs to eye off Stay Wealthy and run him down to win. STAY WEALTHY has the full 60kg and is on his limit at 1800m but leading and rolling makes you hard to beat on the dirt. REGINALD and HEZAZEB are still building into form. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – ZADAR ROCK WIN RACE 3 LIVING LIKE KINGS continues to tease and burn punters but it’s hard not to tip into him considering how thin these maidens are week to weak. He’s now run second to Brazilian Belle ($4), second to Power Trooper ($2.10) and second to Make De Fortune ($1.55). He’ll again find the front and think that the drop back to 1103m could be in his favour as he paddles late. BLATANT DISARRAY is a long time maiden but trying hard. BOLTCO JACK finds this easier than Carnarvon. BLOWIN SMOKE improves for the dirt run. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – LIVING LIKE KINGS WIN RACE 4 DIAMOND TIPPED looks a dirt beast. He’s settling off speed, he’s pulling wide to stay out of the kick back and he’s just sustaining monster runs over the top of them. Always risky to keep following these types, especially with him coming back in distance and being drawn close to the fence, but his wins have been arrogant? MRS KANGAROO meets him worse at the weights for being beaten, however, she’s a jump and run mare who should lead. YARDSTICK was a great dirt debut. SHE IS GOD is enjoying a good season. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – DIAMOND TIPPED WIN RACE 5 ONE ABOVE ALL should be ready now. He won a 56+ 1600 at Port Hedland last season and last weekend he finished fourth behind Blazing Tycoon, Mercian Hymn and Zadar Rock and on the 7 day back-up the very much in form Timo Pike opts to put a senior rider on. KENTUCKY BLUE never looked like running down The Coolakin King at any stage last start. He’s building though. AWESOME LILY will keep coming late, she’s a real trier. ACERMETRIC can come on quickly. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – ONE ABOVE ALL WIN RACE 6 MEGA REWARD looked in a bit of trouble on straightening last start but was able to find another gear in the last 200m and put a 2L margin on One Above All (goes around in Race 5) and Uni Queen. Getting up to 60.5kg here and will need to get things cheap, but on paper, looks a big chance of getting it his own way. WARBY RANGES last win was off the 7 day back-up and, unless you ask Luke Sangster, Sharni Webster is killing it – going at 25% at Roebourne, 17% at Port Hedland and 22% at Carnarvon. CHAVORIO is getting close. COUSIN NICCI an improver. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – MEGA REWARD WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1 1,2,3,4,6 2,3 1,4 Market Market
