Scott Embry’s Saturday Moora Preview Posted on October 7, 2022October 7, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DEVIL GIRL looks to have found her race. Only 6 days ago at Northam she sat up over the speed at 1600m and finished 3.5L off Stop Dreaming, Allegiance and Speckles. Only three starts ago she finished second to Kia Ora Jewel when leading and kicking at a mile. Backs up, drop in weight, should lead them and from there she’s hard to run down. DEE RODMAN is a long time maiden but will chase hard from leader’s back. JIMMY SEVEN and AMBERS LUCK are coming off Mt Magnet/Meekatharra. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – DEVIL GIRL WIN RACE 2 UNSAID DREAMS finished third at Narrogin behind Ruby’s Boon and Bin Shalaa (now a 3 time winner at Kalgoorlie) three starts back in April. Resumes here first-up, no trial for Bruce Kay and Kerry Noske and should nearly kick through to lead. AMELIA’S BELIEF is quick and could well pull her on for the top and cross. Pinches one of these country maidens leading and winning. LA GALEXIA finds a new home. Showed glimpses at stages in the metro area with Danny Morton. DUCHEES DREAM wasn’t disgraced back on the grass behind Visions Of Grace. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – UNSAID DREAMS WIN RACE 3 PIT TO WIN hasn’t been seen for 7 weeks since destroying them at Mt Newman. Prior to that had a successful Broome preparation winning two races. Last year won at Moora off a 49 day freshen (from Newman) and romped in to win by 9.4L. Bruce Kay follows the exact same path here and expect he’ll take beating again. HUMAN NATURE has to carry 63kg and is stretched at the end of 1190m but his last start effort in a 70+ at Geraldton was excellent when narrowly defeated by Jupiter Rising, beating home Sans Le Sou and Corn Cob in the process. Big ask to carry the weight and see out the trip but the booking of Jason Maskiell definitely helps. STRIDE OUT is a jump and run horse. THREE SEESIONS was below his best fresh. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – PIT TO WIN TO WIN RACE 4 HERITAGE SASH is a very consistent type. Won a 56+ 1000 at Carnarvon first-up and then finished third to Our Insider, Mordor, Can’tcatchthis and others in Carnarvon in various 56+ and 64+ races over the season. 64kg a huge weight carrying ask but he was narrowly beaten with that exact weight last start at Mt Magnet. UNDER THE RADAR was solid enough in three runs at Broome to suggest she’s the testing material here. DARK CITY has a huge weight pull on Heritage Sash and should get the right run. FASCINATION an improver second-up. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – HERITAGE SASH WIN RACE 5 BIG BLOWS is the class runner of the race. Won a 56+ at Carnarvon earlier in the season beating Volpe and Nero Chin Chin by 1.75L. Since then struggled to really hold consistency but did run some nice races in between including a second to Honorfic. Goes well on the fresh side and senior rider goes on for the Cup. GALIBA was enormous first-up behind Native Chimes (Carnarvon Cup winner and Kalgoorlie Cup third-placed). Keep safe. CALLING CARD has been racing consistently well in the outer Country Cups. ARMED AND READY could win by 5L or finish last by 50L. Never know. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – BIG BLOWS WIN RACE 6 LUKE’S CHOICE had five runs in Broome and didn’t seem to fully handle the style of racing and the track itself. Ran credible races but was still below what he’s capable of. Hasn’t won a race for a long while but also hasn’t seen a 54+ like this. Bruce Kay can produce them fresh and he takes an imposing team to Moora on Saturday. RIGHTFUL HEIR finished third at Belmont last start (Toodyay meeting) but was running well prior to that at Carnarvon and won at Junction. TOMMY TO JACK capable if kicking through to lead. NOBLE SPIRIT should only come on second-up. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – LUKE’S CHOICE WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,2,4 1,5,6 1,2,3,4 1,3 Market Market
