Scott Embry’s Saturday Collie Preview Posted on October 26, 2018October 26, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 FRATERNIZE was once touted as a genuine Saturday horse. He now finds himself in a 7 horse field at Collie. If he is sound he has to go close. DAD SAID is a wonderful old galloper who always contests the finish in this grade and this track sits. MAJESTIC MAN has been going a bit below his best but this is the sort of race where he can bounce back and bounce back hard. COUNTERCAT resumes for a stable who produces them fresh. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – FRATERNIZE WIN Race 2 FAULTY was a nice galloper at the Steve Wolfe yard. Ran some nice races in far better company than this and he looks one of the better bets on the Collie program. SCARLET’S WEB is speedy and if Edwards can find the front she’ll take running down with the big claim. NOTHING IN BETWEEN broke though for a big win at Moora on the dirt. LOOKING ON race a cheeky race at Toodyay first-up. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – FAULTY WIN Race 3 FAIRTORE has had a lot of opportunities to break maiden status but could be the one who finds the front and that is definitely the position to be on this track. SADEIKO is suited over further than this but on exposed race form still looks the one to beat. CAPO DEL ARIA will find this far easier than two starts this preparation and had a nibble of support at both. FIRE THE SHOT best of the rest. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 9 – 7 Suggested Bet – FAIRTORE WIN Race 4 OUR MAORI BOY has had 44 cracks at winning a maiden over a vast number of preparations. If he can get to the outside he will get his best chance yet (possibly ever) at scoring a victory. BLACK FILOU gave some cheek over a mile maiden at Northam before hitting the wall. Suggest the track will suit. AL’S FAMOUS showed glimpses at trials early in his career but has failed to live up to that. JESTER DINI draws soft. Numbers: 1 – 11 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – OUR MAORI BOY EACHWAY Race 5 TELL ME THIS is hard as nails and will make sure this is run at a steady clip. Expect Fitzgerald to come across and put them to the test at the 1000m and see if many of these can stay. ANVIL GREEN goes great guns on circuits like these. Possibly a query at the trip but looks right in it. TONED has won many an outer country cup and he would have had this race in mind for a while. LITTLE SINCERO has thrived since joining the Pateman stable. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – TELL ME THIS Race 6 ORBIT THE SUN looks the logical leader in this field and his Class1 form is reasonable enough. He seems to go better when finding the fence and should do so here. NORTHPACE will be there for a fair way. Far from disgraced behind some handy types first-up at Bunbury last week. PORTRAIT LAO lobs at a new stable but form at Carnarvon was exceptional. HE’S PACKING won a nice Pinjarra race last preparation, can improve. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – ORBIT THE SUN WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) FLD 1,11 1,2 1,2,3,5 Market Market
