His last win was in a C1 at Nowra when he sat third in running and got away from them late at 1100m. He should have enough early toe to hold a spot in running and stay out of too much trouble. The booking of Bonnie Palise is a bonus. PAEROA LAD had one start for Ike Racing and now joins Darryn Pateman’s Broome team. A lot of his C1 1000m form in the metro and provincial area is more than good enough to win this. Had excuses last start in a race containing Kamarshall, Devine Belief and Estimator. CHILLI BEAN is a Broome regular. Finds it hard to win though. UNDER THE RADAR is capable of kicking through to nearly lead them. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – SONG CYCLE WIN RACE 2 SILKINIZE and ORNAMENTAL BELLE look like clashing in a match race on paper. SILKINIZE clearly has the better form but ORNAMENTAL BELLE at least has the dirt experience. Going to side up with ORNAMENTAL BELLE who no doubt will be looking to cross him in the early stages. If Simone Altieri can find the front, she’ll take real running down. SILKINIZE trialled up really well but isn’t a horse who is known for his early gate speed. Class runner but wary of copping some kick-back. HOOLAHOOPS goes well fresh but may want further. PRINCE SAIYAN proven on the dirt and next best. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – ORNAMENTAL BELLE WIN RACE 3 ORTUM KRISP finished third behind Invincible Ruby and Universal Flair in a 3 year old 0MWLY at Belmont Park in her second career outing. At her most recent outing at Narrogin she finished second after showing speed. Should be able to work her way forwards to sit up over the speed and from there takes beating. JUST FOR MARCUS is an unknown. Only had one start for Ike Racing and went around $5.50 in town. Big watch. AIN’T I A WOMAN doesn’t yet have a rider named so may not be any guarantee of starting. She’s a long time maiden but think she’ll be suited to the hustle and bustle style of dirt racing. COOLEX has his first start in WA and has reasonable maiden form from over East. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – ORTUM KRISP WIN RACE 4 ROGUES POINT has had four starts for Anthony Barton and Simone Altieri. He’s finished in the Top 4 at each of them. He seems to have found a new zest for racing and this is a really nice starting point for him as he has his first outing in Broome. SAFFIANO had two starts in Broome back in 2022. He was beaten big margins on both occasions. Is both well placed and well weighted but just wary of his previous failures on the surface. DEMERITS PRIDE should be suited to Broome racing, especially if he can kick through to lead. GLACIER MISS attacks this fresh. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – ROGUES POINT WIN RACE 5 CITY REGAL is quick. He’s drawn outside of fellow speedster Apple Schnapps and should be able to burn along and run a big race. Hard to miss his trial at Lark Hill when finishing alongside talented 3 year old Universal Playboy. APPLE SCNHAPPS has his first start on the dirt. Considering he was a m80 at the end of his last preparation and he’s a c81 here he’s been very generously handicapped. Should go well. PIT TO WIN won by a margin first-up and second-up at Broome last preparation. 1100m will be on the shorter side for him but he’s proven on the surface and he’s proven fresh. Big respect. PHONEME a nice acquisition for new connections. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – CITY REGAL WIN RACE 6 CHAD’S ME DAD is yet another big chance on what looks potentially a great day for Anthony Barton. First start for the new stable after being purchased in an Inglis Online Sale. First-up last campaign off a similar day spacing she resumed in a C3 1300 at Belmont when splitting Mosquito and Without Reg. Looks a great race for her if she handles the dirt. SINGLETON PARK has been consistent since arriving in WA. 2L off Speedy Miss and Wee Ripper reads up well for this. Keep safe. YANKEE LIMA is drawn barrier 1 and importantly has the gate speed to kick through and hold the top. STUMBLE is worth big consideration at his Broome debut. Best form is easily good enough. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 5 – 12 Suggested Bet – CHAD’S ME DAD WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 5,9 1,3,4 1,4,5 1,3,4,5,10,12 Market Market
