Scott Embry’s Friday Geraldton Preview Posted on June 4, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 ESPRESSO LASS was a strong winner last start in a very similar race to this. Rises another 1.5kg up to 62.5 but if she can hold form (which she normally does) then she looks very hard to beat again here. FERNGROVE needed the run first-up at Belmont and this is a far more suitable race for him. GLOWING ROCK should be ready to fire. Is deep into the campaign but last few have been better. DISCORSIA was bolting in behind them last start when really catching the eye. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – ESPRESSO LASS WIN RACE 2 INDISISIVE, SCENIC CHARM and CARSON DRIVE all come from the exact same race last start behind Old Bailey. Nothing between the three of them but siding with INDISISIVE who should be able to cut across and find the breeze. Hard to run down from there and could be a great start to the day for Renee Forrest. CARSON DRIVE is unlikely to give up the fence with Simone Altieri aboard. Will jump and run. SCENIC CHARM is getting frustrating to follow but continues to loom. LOOKSNOTEVERYTHING ran well enough on debut in the same race at 100-1. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 9 – 10 Suggested Bet – INDISISIVE WIN RACE 3 KHAN has been knocking on the door for a long, long while, in fact ever since joining the stables of Sarah Childs. Deserves to break through and with the long run of outs recorded we would all be expecting a salute if Kate Southam gets him across in front. MYTHICAL TRUST ran really well last start and Ray Malpass’ little team are going well at the minute. NEWMARRACARRA was held up behind them last start. Easily has the toe to cross from the wide gate. CALABRIA JOE continues to race well without winning. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – KHAN WIN RACE 4 ENACTMENT has been going really well all preparation and this looks her best chance of the preparation to salute. Madi Derrick is riding winners for fun and drawn a soft gate can sit just behind Makfi Amour or even hold him out. Looks a great race for the mare. MAKFI AMOUR has run back to back minor placings and Banjo Paterson even threw the whip into the left last start in an attempt to lift him home. BANGCRASH on the quick back-up is a blow out chance. SHIRASCA went well fresh at Esperance last preparation. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 5 – 9 Suggested Bet – ENACTMENT WIN RACE 5 FULLY STOKED looked to have found a suitable assignment last start and got the job done. This is no tougher and he only rises 1.5kg. From the gate should enjoy a soft run midfield tucked away and with even luck in the home straight should prove hard to hold out late. SCOTOPIA is going well and the win two starts ago was very strong. In form and hard to hold out late. CHISANO gets her first chance to lead since joining a new stable. Keep safe. TOTAL DISC is best ridden for speed and expecting Laqdar Ramoly to be aggressive. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – FULLY STOKED WIN RACE 6 MADRID CENTRO was very strong last start when fighting them all off when racing on top of the speed in a race run 4L faster than average. No reason why he can’t enjoy a similar run right over the speed and hold them all off again. Owes us nothing and we’ll be going again. COOL DYNAMITE is a back marked who will have the task in front of her from back in the field. Has hit a purple patch and looks the obvious danger. BOBCAT BOY is another with a bad draw but good form to his name. BANDALERA MISS an improver at a price. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – MADRID CENTRO WIN RACE 7 GOLDEN ACRES has been around the mark all preparation. Drops 3.5kg with Madi Derrick going aboard and from the inside gate is either leader’s back or three back the fence. Both of those are winnable positions and this looks a really nice race. PAIR OF FIVEZ is yet to fully hit his straps but should be ready fourth up. GLEN ALBYN a big chance if he gains a start (unlikely). SEA TRYST continues to race particularly well as a rising 12 year old. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 12 – 2 Suggested Bet – GOLDEN ACRES WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,5,6,9 3,5 1,9 4,5 Market Market
