Scott Embry’s Friday Geraldton Preview Posted on December 24, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 TAP THE KEG found a tiny bit of trouble on debut but was still beaten over 5L at 30-1 and then last start looked to be travelling relatively well before being steadied at the top of the straight. Call Again ran third and bolted in his next start and this is weak. BREEAQUA has been scratched between runs but the most recent effort was easily good enough to win. CASUAL TRADE looks like the 1400 will be up her alley. ECHO STAR can give cheek if finding the top. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – TAP THE KEG WIN Race 2 OUR MATE BOOTS has finally found his race. Has had 16 opportunities so far in his career but this is the one for him. McNaught on, crosses to lead and from there should be winning. KIMBERLEY CARAT is on debut and trailed alright at Lark Hill. SYRIANOS likely stays in Geraldton after the run and was ok last start. OCEAN RICHES could improve with the shades. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – OUR MATE BOOTS WIN Race 3 COOL SERENITY was the victim of abandoned meetings and so has had a few weeks between runs but from the inside draw she leads and from there she wins. Last start ran 3L above benchmark in a race which produced subsequent winners Recoiled (2x) and Touched. BLACK DYNAMITE was no match for Cool Serenity last start but has had no luck since joining Sarah Childs 12 months ago. Deserves one. SKY ATLAS likely needs a touch further than the 1100. ADMIRAL HUSSON next best. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – COOL SERENITY WIN Race 4 DASHING IMAGE has been knocking on the door all preparation and with Troy Turner back into the saddle he looks like breaking back into the winner’s circle. RECOILED was backed as if unbeatable last start and duly saluted. The 1300 is probably about his limit but Jodie Liakousis has her entire stable low flying. DANEHILL MATILDA is as honest and consistent as they come. She’ll run a race. JUPITER RISING had his colors lowered last start but lost no admirers. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – DASHING IMAGE WIN Race 5 RED EPIC was just as good as Kenyluck and You Don’t Say last start and will likely be double the price of Kenyluck. Draws wide but is one of the few gallopers in the field with gate speed and if Jerry Noske can cross to the fence he’s right in the mix. KENYLUCK is yet to run a bad race in the region but draws poorly. ARABIAN RICHES was finishing off well last start. YOU DON’T SAY caught the eye late. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – RED EPIC WIN Race 6 WOODMANS KEEP is holding form really well and this is a very evenly graded edition of the Walkaway Cup. He will need an ounce of luck from the draw but Altieri is riding well and the pair have produced some great runs of recent times. PARIS OF TROY was never a winning chance last start. Keep him safe. RUBY’S LEGACY a big query at the trip but hard to argue with the way he’s racing. O’REILLY’S CRUMPET a winning chance from the inside. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 7 – 11 Suggested Bet – WOODMANS KEEP EACHWAY Race 7 ALTA SULL’AMORE has her first start in region having left Danny Morton and joined breeder, owner, trainer Sue Olive. She is admittedly racing below her best but the last start efforts have been better than they read on paper and she’s a definite winning chance. TERIREM is super consistent and draws a plumb gate to do no work. FORTUNE MAKER was only plugging away last start but still recorded the best closing figures. WILD MEMORIES is hard to catch but capable. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – ALTA SULL’AMORE WIN Quad (Race 4 – 7) 3,5 1,3 FLD 1,2,4,8 Market Market
