Scott Embry’s Friday Esperance Preview Posted on January 15, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SASSATIONAL has her first start for Helen Harding and falls into a 5 horse field where she should be the first to find the fence. Placed at 5 from 9 she should take running down. RYDON has been knocking on the door and goes close. SCENE TO SIN ran well on debut but draws sticky. EGGNOG drops out and has the last crack at them. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – SASSATIONAL WIN Race 2 WATTO’S REVENGE trialed well and brought that effort to the races first-up when catching the eye late and running second. Mitchell Pateman is venturing down to Esperance for a rare meeting and the city hoop should get on the board sooner rather than later. EASINGTON has always promised to win a race but does a few things wrong. SNIPSAWAY was a good run first-up, shades on now. CHOSEN ART can improve drawn the inside. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – WATTO’S REVENGE WIN Race 3 MAGNIFORCE has a real X-Factor to him. Was fired to the top by Pateman over 1300m in a Kalgoorlie maiden when destroying opposition winning by 6L. He was then big in defeat when fourth in a C2 when running electric mid race sections. ICE ONE ran well first-up in a fast run race behind stablemate Snippiranha. MING XING won well last start and looked a filly who would be winning a C2 soon. BUFF MAN gets back but can sustain a run. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – MAGNIFORCE WIN Race 4 WHERE’S WALLY will spot the leaders a fair head start but he won well last start and no doubt birthday boy Josh Brown will have his pin up horse peaking. Skips the Fitzpatrick Plate and the Mungrup Sprint to be saved for this. Good luck Wally and happy 30th Joshua. AUDIENCE is capable of causing the upset if she is on her best behavior. NAZARETH draws soft and has strong fresh form. BARRY’S RABBIT is on an Esperance Cup campaign but should hit the line. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – WHERE’S WALLY WIN Race 5 TRACKTA drops from a 1900 back to a mile, has blinkers added and lobs a similar field to where he has been knocking on the door all preparation. If Chris Graham can get any luck from the draw he should be in the mix. BROTHER PADDY was big three starts ago but is yet to reproduce that eye catching run. LOSING TICKET should get every opportunity from the gate. LUNA ROSSA is hit and miss but has a big turn of acceleration. Numbers: 10 – 5 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – TRACKTA WIN Race 6 IT’S DYNAMITE always runs well early in a preparation. Was strong first-up when going round in the same grade and arguably was stiff to cop a point considering she’s placed at almost 45% of her outings spanning a long career. Draws to get every chance and this grade really suits. KING’S AUTHORITY has not won a race since his 2yo debut but has raced in exclusively tougher than this. DRIFTWOOD GIRL is a bit hard to catch but her best is clearly good enough. ROYAL PLANET needs luck. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 6 – 10 Suggested Bet – IT’S DYNAMITE WIN Race 7 PIRATES MISTRESS drops from a 68+ which was run 3.5L faster than average back into a 58+ where she won two on the bounce to start the campaign. Laqdar Ramoly goes at 13% and is riding very well. Drawn the inside looks awfully hard to beat. UNIKAT finally broke back into the winner’s circle last start after being lifted over the line by Yuill. Could give Josh Brown the prizemoney he needs for an engagement ring. CHHAYA is always around the mark in this grade. HILLBERT runs for Mitch Pateman and he was luckless last start. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – PIRATES MISTRESS WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,4,5,6 3,4,5,8,10 1,2,6 1 Market Market
