Scott Embry’s Friday Albany Preview Posted on December 12, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 LORD KRONOS should be getting punters off to a flyer. First crack at 70+ grade in the region but with his regular rider back aboard and dropping 4kg on his last run he should settle just off them and wind up over the top. ROWIE has actually been sprinting quite well this preparation and could be the danger. CHASING CHAOS looks to recapture form and won’t know himself with the weight. OUR BUDDY BOY leads or box seats and should give cheek. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – LORD KRONOS WIN Race 2 JUPITERS SUN has not seen a race this weak since he broke his maiden in style at York. From there went to a Saturday 3 year old race and was far from disgraced and then ran into a few nice types in midweek 3 year old company. Can lead and win. ROUND THE POINT is a query at the trip but ran out a strong 1400m last start. AMBER HIGHWAY looks to be improving with racing and could turn into a nice horse. TOP AGENT next best. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – JUPITERS SUN WIN Race 3 TRIBUTE TO GLORY was backed as if unbeatable when getting a long way back and eventually working clear to run into second beaten a fair way. If he can get away cleaner here and settle midfield with cover should prove too strong. TEXAN BLITZ was possibly a bit disappointing last start but this race is weak and he looks like he’ll win a few in his career. BIG SUMMER can lead and hold on for a another placing. ALL MAN can improve. Numbers: 4 – 9 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – TRIBUTE TO GLORY WIN Race 4 STORMY RULER vs MORGS FREEMAN almost looks the highlight of the card. They both have well above average ability and should clear out from the rest. STORMY RULER with a run under the belt and leading from the gate gets the nod. Trialed very well and was slow away on debut. MORGS FREEMAN has run two really nice midfield efforts as a 2 year old and should test the favourite. MESKHENET can run third and DEANGLES gets it soft. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – STORMY RULER WIN Race 5 MONGOLIAN WARLORD was well thought of first-up when drawn a horror gate. Run was good enough to suggest that second-up drawn a gate he’ll be improving lengths. BLIZZARD EXPRESS should be the testing material. He is a 9 year old now but till showed there is zip in his legs with a nice effort in a Saturday race first-up. Run of the race from the inside. ITS NOT TRADING is almost ready but likely looking for further. BABBLE has ability and is better than his last two. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – MONGOLIAN WARLORD WIN Race 6 PRINCE FRIAR is always around the mark and will give backers a sight for their money. Sits right over the speed and is honest as they come. WILD FUSION has put two together and there looks no reason why he can’t make that three on the trot. Going really well and drawn perfectly. HE SAID SHE SAID could come across and take up the running. Put in a big one at 1200 and better suited at the mile. JESTER ROCK has raced without luck this preparation. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – PRINCE FRIAR WIN Race 7 COUNT KALA comes back from a nice run in the Ascot final of the Tabtouch Road to Ascot series. If he can keep his head in the mounting yard and get to the gates without running his race in the parade ring then he’ll be hard to hold out. JESTER FERRARI is probably going a bit better than it looks on paper. Backs up off 7 days and can get to the outside. QUEEN TORI looks like she is just about ready to show her best again. CHENGDU came with a booming run last start and if he gets clear up the inside will be coming hard. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – COUNT KALA WIN Race 8 STEP RIGHT UP is clearly racing below his best and has been out of the winner’s circle for a long time. Glenn Smith jumps board for his first ride on the horse and this is not a strong field he meets. Almost last chance for him. LONG KNIFE BROTHER was bitterly disappointing last week when slow away. Better than that. LITTLE PUNGA is again drawn a horror alley but going alright. EVERASREADY was off the track throughout last start and winds up late. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – STEP RIGHT UP WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2 1,2,3,5 3,4,5,7,8 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 Market Market
