Scott Embry’s Friday Albany Preview Posted on November 29, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 AMBER HIGHWAY has another gear change made after blinkers went on last start. Gets another great chance to break maiden status early in his career. TURPIN’S DAUGHTER was equally god, if not more impressive in the same race last start coming wide and making solid ground. TRIBUTE TO GLORY comes from what looks on paper a superior maiden form reference. Trialed well before that. HIGHWAY GLORY could improve at odds. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – AMBER HIGHWAY WIN Race 2 LONG KNIFE BROTHER stepped up from 1100m straight to 1400. Dropping back to the 1200 looks perfect and from the gate should get every chance to win another one. LADY STINGRAY is the stable mate and is very quick. Expect that Colgate will let her run and she’ll be hard to catch. IT COMES NATURAL lead them up and was run down over 1000m at Bunbury first-up. Has already been a subsequent winner from that race. STEP RIGHT UP is better than he is going. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – LONG KNIFE BROTHER WIN Race 3 TEXAN BLITZ was really hitting his straps late in the race behind Classic Jack. Both favourites come from the same stable and the same ownership and the same form race. Money should tell the story. MYGIRLFRANKIE took a while to find clear running in the same race and finished off well. KHUN WESLEY was handy first-up behind Browsing and has no weight. ORASKY was better last start and senior rider back aboard. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – TEXAN BLITZ WIN Race 4 ARRUM BOY was an optical illusion last start and looked live to have won the race. Tricky angle for both caller and judges alike. He should make amends here. There are no Tango Oras and the 1200 is his trip. OUR BUDDY BOY was impressive first-up no trial and if he found the front would take serious catching. TRANQUILLA SUNRISE had no luck in the Road to Ascot heat. LONG KNIFE should just about be ready. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – ARRUM BOY WIN Race 5 PRINCE FRIAR has come back to racing in excellent form. Given an absolute peach by Casey Hunter last start and from the tricky draw her loyal followers will be hoping she can reproduce. WILD FUSION should keep improving as the distances increase and this is very winnable for him. SONDHEIM recaptured some of his form last start coming back to Albany. JESTER ROCK didn’t see much daylight last start and could be a sharp improver. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – PRINCE FRIAR WIN Race 6 IONYX was an interesting run last start. Pateman found the front easily and then threw the anchor and was taken on from then on. Staeck takes over and expect him to let him stride in front. Very hard to run down. ROUND THE POINT has put together two impressive placings so far this preparation, query at the trip but going well. CALBANESCO was very average first-up. He has promised a lot more than that. CLEO’S AFTERPARTY is going alright without much luck. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – IONYX WIN Race 7 ANNA AMALIA finds another race where she could clear them out and find the front. Back to 1100m, Staeck back on and third up into the preparation she should be giving backers a great sight. GRADUAL INCLINE was not asked for an effort in a recent trial and goes extremely well for Glenn Smith. FULZIP almost pinched it first-up at a massive price. Have to follow on that run. LITTLE PUNGA was caught deep in the same race. Shouldn’t have that problem here. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – ANNA AMALIA WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 4,5 3,4,7,8 1,4,5 1,6,7,9 Market Market
