Perth Cup Rankings Posted on December 16, 2020December 16, 2020 | Posted by Digby Beacham 1 – NEUFBOSC Hard to be critical of anything he has done. Forget the Kingston Town Classic display and look at his four other runs since joining Neville Parnham’s stable. Luckless in the Towton Cup last weekend. Tracking beautifully. 2 – MIDNIGHT BLUE Clearly the horse with the most upside. Scratched on race morning last Saturday to ensure he could contest this weekend’s ratings race over the 2200m. Pike, Williams and Peters. Enough said. 3 – TRAP FOR FOOLS Will have his third run in 14 days in Saturday’s WFA feature, the Ted Van Heemst. Beautifully rated when winning last weekend. More concerned about the Perth Cup weight scale than his record which says he hasn’t won beyond 2200m. 4 – PADDY’S SHADOW Doesn’t win out of turn, but still going very well regardless. Appears outclassed in the Ted Van Heemst, but will drop appreciably in weight for the Perth Cup. 5 – TAXAGANO Will also start in the Ted Van Heemst, but like Paddy’s Shadow, suited by the conditions of the Perth Cup. Is going okay. Market Market *This list has been compiled with the view TRULY GREAT will not progress to the Perth Cup because of too much weight.
