Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on June 11, 2021June 11, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 11th June 2021 Race 4 – No. 5 Becks Monelli Ran on well from the rear in her middle distance debut, finishing strongly over 600m at Cannington last week. Will appreciate the extra 47m here and looks hard to hold out on the bigger circuit. Race 10 – No. 3 Sticker Sparkles Former Victorian who hasn’t been seen since early April. Has a strong record and was usually always well supported in his Eastern States outings. May need the run but from the handy draw, he is worth following. Race 12 – No. 2 Overbite Has failed to beat a runner home at her past couple at headquarters but has had excuses so best to overlook those runs. Finished runner up in two of her previous three in slick times over this trip in much tougher FFA company and can recapture her best form in this. Each Way: Race 3 – No. 8 Zipper Rogue Racing well below his best but he has had excuses and he does return to his favourite draw for the first time since March. Could surprise this line up. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 3.5.8 / 2.3.6 / 1.2.5 / 1.4 $50 for 92.59% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 12th June 2021 Race 3 – No. 1 Fernando Star Tackles a smart up and comer here in kennelmate OUR SEABROOK (3) but drops significantly in grade for this assignment, all the way back to entry-level for the first time since July last year and draws ideally in red. Won’t know what to do with himself but should give a huge amount of cheek. Race 5 – No. 1 Impulse Buy Pay to forgive last weeks run when a beaten short-priced favourite and did finish off nicely after having no luck in running early. Has her best draw yet and should be able to go one better in this. Race 6 – No. 7 Stout Monelli Ultra-impressive in his heat last week when mounting a case as one of, if not the best sprinter in the state, demolishing his rivals which included Sunset Spitfire in a BON 29.54. Not as well drawn this time but should get the cart across early and will be strong at the finish. Hard to go past. Each Way: Race 4 – No. 8 Mow Keeping Hasn’t been seen over this trip since his WA debut, finishing midfield in a heat of the Young Stars Classic in November. Has finished on the podium in the majority of his runs since then, all over shorter and while recent form has been below his best, he likes this draw and should be in this for a long way. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.7.8 / 3.5.7 / 2.4.6 / 1.3.4.7 $50 for 46.29% Trifecta – Race 5 1.7.8 / 1.7.8 / 1.5.7.8 $30 for 375% First Four – Race 6 3.5.7 / 3.5.7 / 1.2.3.5.7 / 1.2.3.5.7.9 $50 for 92.59% Bet Now! Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 13th June 2021 Race 2 – No. 1 Isolation Twenty Always thereabouts with top 4 finishes in 10 of his 12 starts to date. Drawn favourably in red and will take plenty of catching if he finds the early lead. Race 7 – No. 5 No Tax Resuming from a spell. Ran a slashing 22.47 when 2nd in a Holiday Coast Series Heat behind FFA’er Einsteinium prior to going a miss. Has the early toe to overcome the awkward draw and if right, he will prove hard to beat first up. Race 8 – No. 3 Teleport Tilly Has been racing in solid form over the longer trips of late and against some good opposition. Has been hit and miss over the 405m in the past but she can play a big part in the finish whilst in her current mood. Bet Now! Bet Now!
